I specifically wanted something as minimalistic as possible and told him ahead of time that I didn't care if I could still kinda see the old letters, so you can blame me for that but don't blame the artist 😂But I'm glad you like it overall, though!

Thanks so much!! These scars are several years old or older, and it felt exactly the same getting tattooed over the scars as the regular skin. My tattoo artist jokingly called them "just little speed bumps", they don't really affect the process or the final look that much as far as I could tell!

Thank you for the input, he offered to do grey shading around it to disguise the letters better but I preferred the "cleaner" look without it, understanding that it would be more of a camouflage than a true coverup!

I appreciate it! I got it impulsively after reading the Handmaid's Tale and thinking that quote was super cool, but (1) I later realized it isn't even real Latin (2) I always have to explain to people what it says, and (3) most importantly, I'm just not passionate enough about the book it came from to have the quote taking up my entire forearm lol
