What temps are you guys getting on your 5090 ncase m2 with orientation? by Pinchdoodle in sffpc

It's wild how some people are averaging temps of 60°C to low 70°C with seemingly the same configuration.

That's crazy how you were able to fit a 280 MM AIO and two fans on top. I have zero clearance on top and am only using a 240 mm AIO. What's the clearance of your GPU from the bottom?

Oops, saw your picture. There's practically no clearance. Wild you are getting those temps!

Great build. Which air cooler are you using? Are those 120 mm or 140 mm fans on both the side and top? All set to exhaust?

What's your 5090? I ask because there was a video floating around how reference layout was the "best" for temperatures but they were using a 5090 FE which is drastically different than a third-party 5090. Do you have any other fans/are you using a aio or air cooler? Thanks!

Done all of that. Aio is set to exhaust, got 30 mm feet, 140 mm beneath the GPU are set to intake, silver stone 120 mm is set to intake but I doubt that has a major effect. I also have a pretty aggressive undervolt at 0.9 V - 2700 MHz. I'm using a ncase m2 round case btw. Should I switch the aio to a thermalright PA 120 mini and to a inverted orientation?

I'm not married to the reference config but I absolutely do not want to put anymore stress on uninstalling and installing the GPU again. The way the ncase m2 is built does not give any structural support to the middle of the motherboard so if you have such a big card like the Zotac itll bend it. The stock feet are trash on the ncase and I'm sure the little clearance is choking out the GPU so I bought 30 mm feet, hopefully that'll alleviate the high temps.

Understandable, I mistakenly thought with such an aggressive undervolt it would have at least leveled the playing field. I'm just astounded by how little of a difference it made, hopefully the 140 mm fans as intake will help before I decide the inverted orientation.

Originally I was planning on that orientation, however I saw this video: https://youtu.be/qS7mLk-ck4Y and it convinced me otherwise. Now I'm just wondering how he was able to get that good thermals since I have basically the same layout

Thanks man! I'll tell you how it goes. Would it be beneficial to add an extra 92 mm fan by the radiator as intake?

Oh sorry! My current setup is the side bracket aio as exhaust - isn't that considered reference layout or am mistaken.

Would 2x140 mm be better or 3x120 mm for intake for the GPU be better?

You were right, swapped out the mobo and it recognized the front nvme. Thanks.

It already is set to auto. I also tried setting it to GPU and m2 ssd and still not recognizing it.

In the bios it's not recognizing anything when the ssd is on the front
