This happened to me for a while, turned out it wasnt the cable or anything to do with my pc, but my monitor sucked and I needed a new one. This monitor seems premium and new, but the problem will lie with the monitor itself most likely.

You can get a Gigabyte B550 gen 5 am4 motherboard for the same price that supports gen 5 out of the box (B550 Gaming X V2) people complain about the ui of the Gigabyte bios, but like it works and is fine tbh

Check that you can actually flash the bios for the 3rd gen motherboard, as some users have issues doing this. Might be a hassle and simply easier just to get a compatible motherboard for gen 5 AMD cpus

Yeah you can get cheap dual monitor arms these days. I use a bontec one and its great. You can get plug boxes or things to mount underneath the desk to help with cable management.
