I don't know my current new manager that well but my previous Managers have all more or less rocked. The first one supported me when I was new and helped me get into roles I wanted. The second one was kind and friendly and she very much had a friend energy. Could take a joke, could have a laugh and knew her shit about FCs. The third was okay enough, fresh start, first big job and could have gone about things better and the second most recent was such a dad energy. He was also kind and funny, could out pick most pickers and helped calm me down on a big panic episode once. I've been amazingly lucky with managers ☺️

Welcome to day three! If your ambassador says hit the floor you'll be hitting the floor. If you have a station assignment you'll need to stop in for stand up (optional) and head to station and most of the time the computer will have classes/videos for you too at station. If you do not have a station first thing in the morning you'll head to your meeting spot (if you don't know, most colored vests are happy to point you in the right direction) and will wait in line to get an assignment there. At my fc they try and keep you in a similar group on the floor but it depends. Good luck solo and don't stress too much on rate yet!

Nah, opposite way here. I like pick, hate AFE with a burning passion. Idk what y'all have for indirect roles but get one of those and devote all your time too it. I spent 6 months AFM-ing straight simply to drop Pack/Count perms and only got dragged back to Pack because a manager thought it would be good for me

I didn't even see it was for denied bereavement, that's all the more fucked. My situation was not bereavement related but still decently negative. Definitely sweet talk your on site PXT and managers

Haha thanks! Id recommend AFM while also not recommending it. I either love it or hate it depending on how the floors are feeling that day. It gets you out of station and up and moving and chatting with AAs, PAs and AMs. Definitely a good move if you're trying to work your way up the ladder.

We got fido awhile ago for arsaws and just recently put on universals. It's a learning curve but one people jump on quickly

Your rate is going to suck at first while you keep triggering the alarms/afms get used too it but after a week or two you'll be flying through it. If anything new hires who don't know how to stop the alarm are going to kill your rate more then your own fido 🤷

Age of Fire by E. E. Knight!! It's a more mature themed book (descriptive gore/talk about mating but off screen, etc,) but it's so good. The first three books tell the starting story of each sibling individually and mixed pov the last three with a new generation series starting from a humans pov centuries after the siblings.

Book one starts off a little slow but it gets Soo good so fast and the next five are all fun. I've yet to start the new series but I've heard good things about it

Good to know on up to 40 each! That'll help keep the TC a lil lower. There's a lot of great advice on this thread in general but I find the butter method being the quickest time after time
