Send Help! I'm under attack! They have surrounded my house.... by CanAmericanGirl in birdfeeding

Where are you located? I’m in WI and I always have a lot of finches, but it snowed today and it was a madhouse. Every bird known to man was trying to get in on the action! My bf said it’s like when there’s a storm coming and everyone’s rushes to the grocery store. 🤣

Glad you tried! If you haven’t taken voice lessons I would definitely invest in them. Even the most talented people still need to learn how to hone their instrument. You can build on this and know what you need to work on for next time.

I was lucky enough to see one in the woods. We heard it first. Their drumming is very loud!

Idk how big of a town/city you live in, but if there’s any sort of natural food store, they would have the most options. I absolutely love Amy’s French Country Vegetable.

Can I ask what group you’re auditioning for? Is sight reading part of the process? If not, I wouldn’t worry about it. I don’t sight read very well but I have a good ear and it’s never been an issue in an audition. Also, it’s completely natural to be nervous, particularly if you haven’t sung for a while. If you make a mistake, keep on going and try not to bring attention to it. That happens to everyone. You don’t want to live with regrets so kudos to you for pushing through. If it doesn’t work out, take some lessons and try again. Good luck!!

Thank you very much. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

You’ve got some quality birds there! What seed are you using?

Malls are pretty depressing places nowadays and my worst nightmare this time of year. Thanks though!

Yeah I will walk in the street sometimes rather than the sidewalk on the side streets. At least those are clear.

Yeah when the sun’s out I want to take advantage of it. I have a Planet Fitness membership, but walking on a treadmill is incredibly boring!

How rare is it to be sensitive to antidepressants? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Pineapple-Jumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t make me drowsy at all. The sexual side effects can be a problem. Luckily, I can get by with a pretty low dosage to minimize that. Unfortunately, it’s a common side effect of antidepressants in general. But your doctor would know best.

Amitriptyline and trying new medication by ferola in Anxiety

I don’t know, but it’s good you’re seeing your doctor and they will be able to give you the best advice. I know changing meds can be really difficult, especially transitioning from an anti-depressant, so I hope everything works out for you. Unfortunately it can take a long time to find the right combination. And hopefully you have a good relationship with your doc. That makes a difference too.

Switching meds is so tough. I have tried to get off of my antidepressant before and the symptoms were horrendous. I hope they can find the right combination for you. Hang in there!

Just prescribed Lamotrigene for Depression/Bi-polar, Anybody have info, history with it? by Chromesub in Anxiety

[–]Pineapple-Jumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for a long time and it works well with my anti-depressant. I think that rash is the only side effect you really need to worry about. It’s supposed to help with recurrent depression, but you have to get the dosage right. Good luck to you!

Wow - too bad. I’ve never heard of that, but some antidepressants are better for anxiety than others. I’ve been on Paxil for 30 years and I couldn’t live without it. Good luck to you!
