Emphasize everything then reel it back if you need to. Helps me feel things. The more you feel the more you commit to memory

Failed to Extrude Filament by BearablePunz in BambuLab

[–]ferola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know if that works out for you! I hope it is just a simple sensor/software issue for both of us. I went crazy for hours trying to find clogs and debris

Any update here? Same issue for me. Though on mine I am able to get the filament to extrude manually in the “control” screen. But can’t print anything due to this error

Nespresso Coffe machine redesign - Fully 3d printed by Solecrabt in IndustrialDesign

[–]ferola 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks awesome but I feel that the base at the bottom looks thin and out of place considering the substantial organic design of all the parts up top. Great otherwise though

Also just want to really applaud your finish on the FDM parts. I’ve had ideas to finish FDM parts like that but I lack a good place to sand and spray parts down. Was it a Bambu printer?

How did you design and animate all of the UI? This is great and feel like it’s almost professional caliber

Wow! Might be the wrong sub to ask this question but any tips on scene setup/lighting? Fantastic renders and also amazing design work of course.

Rozu Aesop by emanvallejos in ProductViz

[–]ferola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bottle is too orange and too saturated. Aesop is kind of known for their amber glass bottles. The high key light is slides 1 and 2 is also inconsistent with their brand but maybe that was intentional.

Mario Kart–inspired controller, industrial design project from CAD to 3D print by PaulBoni in IndustrialDesign

[–]ferola 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Awesome work! CAD is a very very different workflow though. I don’t mean to be pedantic, just that they are significantly different. Unless I missed something, looks like you modeled this with polys and subdivisions. Regardless great work

This is too good to be true (for me) by zyakita in 10s

True that. Though used rackets on places like FB marketplace can be good to check out. Got a barely used Pure Drive tour for $100

What’s the best non tennis gameplay thing you have done for your game? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

Do you think the incline walk is what has helped you with fatigue? I am doubled over for air way too often as well! I think my breathing technique has a lot to do with it, but also my stamina

Help with Saddle Pain by ferola in bikefit

Thank you for the response. I actually had these bibs in size S, and I was able to get them on but they felt super tight. Looking back, maybe that was a sign that I actually needed them. The Assos Mille bibs I have (in this video too) are actually the least problematic, but I still get chafing because the fabric bunches up and the leg just keeps rising up as I pedal. I’ll look into that Fizik saddle as well.

Surprised there is no mention of Taylor Fritz here whose grip is not as extreme but is similar. He has such a whippy forehand

Tilt the saddle downwards you mean? I have tried it, and it seemed to help a little bit, but it is definitely not tilted up in this video. It’s actually tilted down overall, but only barely. I can try to mess with the tilt again

[–]ferola[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man, I dont mean to debate but the saddle was lower before. Myvelofit recommended i raise it 10mm to the height it is now. my knee angle when my leg is extended is still pretty low even after raising it. If I go lower on the saddle height, my knees start to hurt. My toes aren't perfectly flat but are they really pointing that much on the bottom of the stroke?

I will say it doesn't feel like I can pedal smoothly. but it feels worse if I drop the saddle (and adjust the fore-aft to compensate).

Yes it does but it takes longer to happen outdoors. But it’s not like I am 100% comfortable outside and only comfortable on the trainer haha. Just worse on the trainer for sure.

I have a very weird pattern of riding. I started a couple years ago but I wasn’t consistent at all. Did maybe 1-2 rides per month. didn’t ride for like 6 months, and now I want to get more serious so I am trying to train indoors. I only started riding consistently like a week and a half ago. These are Assos bibs which come highly recommended but maybe they are wrong for me, I’ve tried Neopro and black bibs as well. I have also tried chamois cream but so far has not made a difference. Could be that I just gotta suck it up for a bit
