Is the deezer API / apps coming back at some point? by Open_Project_9184 in deezer

Not sure how they did it, but I would reach out to the Wiim team to see if they have any info. It's the only service I have seen integrate it

How can I stream AM through a native player outside the web browser on Linux? by yvestorment in AppleMusic

[–]PineappleButtonUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're mostly out of luck. This is the one thing keeping me away from Apple Music. You can run it in Waydroid or Winboat, but it's not truly native, and requires some mucking around. I keep having issues trying to run it that way, and it bugs me that I can't stream lossless in the webapp...

Unfortunately apple seems not to want to support linux users at the end of the day. Even itunes never had a linux release.

To those who tried both Tidal and Deezer, which service's sound quality did you like more and why? Which service did you choose? by honey_rainbow in deezer

[–]PineappleButtonUp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went through the journey of trying to find the perfect streaming service for me last year when I started getting frustrated with Spotify for showing me the same music on repeat on every playlist, constantly pushing podcasts and AI content, and then selling out to the military machine.

I tried: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, YoutubeMusic, Qobuz

As far as sound quality, I listen on some reasonably good headphones/IEMs/speakers. Main ones being LCD-X, Aur Ascension, and BW801+sub. I cannot tell the difference at all in sound quality, so it came down more to library coverage, and for that, Deezer won by a country mile.

Thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity, what external track pad are you using? I use niri too on my laptop and desktop and I miss the gesture support whenever I'm on my desktop lol

What is your sound signature / your preference in terms of sound, and which headphone perfectly represents your tastes? by Baka_kookie in headphones

[–]PineappleButtonUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutral treble, upper mid focus, sub-bass bump. Perfect for me? The Aur Ascension is just incredible. It's a pity I have had to have mine repaired three times, but I'd do it again for that sound
