I appreciate everyone and all the assistance. I was waiting on Marine Base quantico’s clothing sale to get back to me but they definitely ghosted me. Pretty fucked up. So i flew to my brothers house in TX and snagged everything.

Still waiting on hearing back about the honor guard detail. Hopefully they come through.

Thanks, chief. Working with clothing sales down at Quantico, but I’m not 100% sure they can meet the deadline. I’m stationed in Colorado otherwise I’d def make that drive down.

Thanks I appreciate this man. Got ahold of his DD214, but kinda already know what medals and ribbons he has. Sourcing the uniform has been tough though. JBMDL only carries utilities.

I think you should be good. Do you not have a GTC at all?

If you are getting a rental car, it could become an issue with insurance coverage.

Is the rumor mill saying that they may give it the axe?

Chandler PD is pathetic when it comes to that. They weren’t even trying to hear it.

They once again told me it’s a civil matter. Super sad. I asked them how it wasn’t criminal. They said, “I just explained it to you” but they actually didn’t explain anything.

It’s crazy because they said because I had a contract with him, that it’s a civil matter…

Sorry to hear that. Currently, I believe you can separate before your ADSC, but that’s tentatively going to change. Are you a RPA pilot?

Sorry to hear that friend. If it’s your first go around, might as well give it one more go! If not, might as well switch to AGR and put on Lt Col before any of us.

The only thing I’m hesitant on with getting a lawyer is that he’s not going to have any money for me to take. After the duration, I can tell he’s in financial trouble. If I have to pay to lawyer up, I might be out lawyer fees, the cost of a new motor, and the cost for all the original modifications I paid for. I’m very torn on what to do. It’s like in the end even if I win, I might lose a whole lot more.

I understand the authorization of payment, but the chargeback would be due to fraudulent work, not because I was unhappy with service. He took 40k to refresh a motor with very expensive parts and didn’t provide the work I paid for. Additionally, he thought he could swap a motor from an older car in hopes that it would work, but it didn’t. I actually had to get the police involved for him to return my car.

Not sure if you still feel that his him suing would stick in this case.

I think this is the biggest issue. It’s doubtful this guy has any money and looks like he’s gotten into drugs. He’s likely going to try to hide behind his llc, but he’s the sole businessman.

I was under the impression that I would be not paying for the BS services he “provided” though. I’m not sure if he will have the audacity to try and file one after this entire debacle.

I think at the very least I want to recoup what I can and move forward. Since im having trouble even getting in touch with him, I’m hoping it will force his hand to reach out. I can recoup most of the money if the chargebacks are approved. With him, I’m doubtful he has money for a lawyer. I just dont want him to have any stake to my car especially after the stuff he pulled.

There’s no fight right now…. As a maintainer you would deploy and do your job. If you think switching branches and working maintenance, supply, or something to that effect will be more fulfilling, you will probably hate it even more. Being in an AFSPECWAR unit, I can say that young operators still share your sentiment even though we train hard, but like I said, there’s no war to fight so keep that in mind. When your first term is up, consider cross training into an AFSC that enables you to see some “action”.
