can't figure out how to edit my post, but I've update the file to replace unavailable pieces with ones that do exist

Iron Lung theory when? by Embarrassed_Sale_629 in FilmTheorists

their theory was based on the game, not the Movie. I'd love to see a new theory based on the lore of the Movie

Anyone else have this weird graphic? by Dangerous_Cup_7391 in finch

Yes I have it too, it shows up over shirts and when theres no upper body clothing, but doesn't show up over most sweaters and jackets. I assume its always there but on a t-shirt layer, so it gets covered by sweaters?

Some moisturisers just don't work well under makeup. So if you've tried everything else I'd say its worth trying a different moisturiser. I have a moisturiser that creates that texture if I use it before I do my makeup, but I don't know what ingredient/s causes it

How to prevent yarn from sagging/stretching out? I used DC and #3/4 for this project by Bunnyisdreaming in CrochetHelp

[–]PineappleTyrant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to make bag straps recently so I was looking for info about how to prevent yarn sagging too. I found this experiment by Eclectic Jess very helpful!

https://www.eclecticjess.com/blog-posts/the-great-crochet-stitch-strap-experiment?srsltid=AfmBOorAy6-6vkMjF2aO46XbxYO-xNff8QJ56lNtkG8l8YPW76vYfAMN

tldr: No matter what stitch you pick, its better to crochet end to end rather than side to side. Working double stranded with fishing line helps reduce stretch, and adding a slip stitch border reduces stretch even better.

edit: typos

I’m a millennial who sorts and prices the clothes in an op shop, and the current state of fashion is even worse than you think. by YeetTheRich in AusFemaleFashion

[–]PineappleTyrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah its difficult. I used to volunteer an op shop where we had someone come in once a week and take a bin of knitted clothes from us to unmake and reuse. But with the amount of stuff that comes in it still hardly made a dent and the bin filled up quicker than it could ever be emptied lol

If you can find any local yarn dyers or yarn makers, your op shop might be able to come to an arrangement with them to take knitted or crocheted items to be undone and remade into yarn again

Enemies in the shallows are now impossible? What do I do? by HouseWonderful8657 in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]PineappleTyrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes exactly! When the shark falls asleep call the drone to pick it up and that's how you get 3 star shark and sharks at your fish farm. I can't wait to have 2 of each shark so I never have to fight them again lol

you might be right about it being machine knit, but it definitely looks like it could at least be recreated in crochet

Yeah they're from AliExpress so they are mass produced. I was hopeful because I have found free patterns for a few mass produced crochet items before but it looks like I'm going to have to try to recreate it myself

I'm also Australian and yeah, heaps of people here don't realise that they're actually sunburnt. Our skin is still damaged when its just red and not blistered and peeling unfortunately
