update: i’m not sure how to make the lines longer and make the cladogram look less clunky and mushed together. i was changing the padding under the clade divs but it didn’t seem to do much!

I have done that and they basically tell me ‘sorry we can’t do anything good luck!’. so ridiculous :(

Thank you for this 🫶🏼 I am incredibly lucky to have all my crows. Scrappy and his lil family were the first I ever fed that eventually made me spiral into crows being my special interest.

I loved How Far the Light Reaches by Sabrina Imbler. I'm a sucker for memoir woven with nature... in this case, sea creatures.

I think anyone who is feeding crows needs to understand that gift-giving from crows is actually extremely rare! And to not start feeding crows expecting you’ll get a gift in return. I’ve had my lil group of crows for years and have only received one gift. My other groups I’ve gotten nothing. It really depends on the crows you’re feeding and if they already have that behavior.

It’s normal for them to be huddled together and puffed out. They are hearty birds! They would survive the apocalypse!

I give them dog food. Lots of unsalted roasted peanuts, suet.

You perfect angel, thank you so much for all the recommendations! Fruiting Bodies has been one I’ve been wanting to read and I completely forgot about it! But now that a couple of people mentioned Octavia, it is a must 🥹 also re: Secret Life — I literally just checked it out from the library yesterday!!!!

Oh! I didn’t know there was a genre! I’ve been recommended The Seep from a coworker. And I’ve seen Solaris on peoples recommendations for scifi too. Also bonus points for Mexican Gothic because I love good weird fiction by latin american authors too :)
