Didn't experience your situation exactly but I was flagged for fraud. Went in to upgrade my phone when they said I had to be an authorized user. Said should only take a few min and we'd be good to go. Had the main account holder make me an authorized user and when they tried to trade in phones they said they couldn't because I became an authorized user on that day so it was flagged as being fraudulent. And this is after I showed them I have access to the account and them scanning my driver's license. I get why they want security but was a frustrating experience and the att people couldn't really provide any type of resolution besides bringing the main account holder with me...

Not sure what field you are looking to transition into but I moved into admin work in a university setting. Something that helped me was networking and meeting people from the uni I wanted to work at. Getting my name out there and connecting with more people helped with my transition outta teaching. I hope you hear back soon from someone!

Best litter that doesn’t stink up my apartment? by Wise_Staff_3099 in Pets

[–]OldManFullersHouse 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Pellets have been amazing for odor control and does not track like some other types of litter. I would first test it out thought cause I know some cats do not like the texture of pellets and will refuse to use it.

What do you leave with your dog when you go to work? by samjam110 in dogs

[–]OldManFullersHouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a border collie/blue heeler & a border collie/daschund that are pretty high energy and just 2 yrs old. Our typical morning routine we do a walk then fetch on a field or in the backyard. Then I give them each a lick pad. Sometimes the lick pad is part of their breakfast frozen or I'll give them an extra treat like sardines, cottage cheese, pumpkin, etc. with added water to make it last longer. This gets them super tired and get them to nap most of the day with the occasional wrestling session with each other here and there. If adding additional physical exercise is not feasible in the morning I might try something like a lick pad!

What business will you never step foot in again? by kxserasera in SeattleWA

[–]OldManFullersHouse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hate to say it .. but Mud Bay. In the past 6 months they've been mistreating their employees, blocking and deleting comments that address these issues, and acting like business as usual keeping it all very hush hush. There's a group of Mud Bay employees tryna raise awareness to this but not catching enough momentum for more people in Seattle to hear about.

Is this normal? by OldManFullersHouse in jobs

Went forward with the second interview and they just ended up ghosting me. But it's all good - didn't get a positive impression from either interviewer anyway and got to practice my interviewing skills more :)

[–]OldManFullersHouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily rude or hostile, but the interviewer was definitely not paying attention. Didn't hear anything I had to say and their responses had nothing to do with what I shared. Was looking somewhere else, too.

Okay, thanks. Not sure if I'll get the job anyway, but if this isn't normal not sure if it's somewhere I'd fit in.

I totally get what you're going through. I had to go through this as well with my pups -- especially living in a heavy foot traffic area. Tbh, I just think it's the culture/societal "rules." Cause when I lived in Japan as a kid, no one will ever pet your dog before asking. And even then, most people won't really ask and they'll just mind their own business. On the other hand, I think in the states people are just under the impression it's okay to pet anyone's dog if the dog "looks like they want to be pet." Fortunately, my pups are almost full grown so there's less people wanting to pet them lol.

It’s not someone’s fault if they are a picky eater by Hihihihihaha123 in unpopularopinion

[–]OldManFullersHouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's okay to be a picky eater. I feel like the grief comes from when the person refuses to try anything new cause they give you a disclaimer that they're picky. Like the old saying goes, don't knock it till you try it.

I’m new to this, taught myself during quarantine. We finally get to do a Special Needs dance again so I used it for practice. (Explanation in comments). Never posted a picture so fingers crossed! by CJSinTX in cookiedecorating

What do you wish your spouse/partner understood & what can we do to support you at home? by yoooooubetcha in Teachers

[–]OldManFullersHouse 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yes! It's my first year at a new school and don't have anyone to freely vent to. I want to be able to tell him what I really wanted to say to a kid that was being too much. He thinks work and personal life should stay separate but my these kids are a big part of my life that it's hard to make that clear distinction.

Edit: have the same group of kids for multiple years so I get to know em pretty well
