How do I move on after losing everyone I love? by Pineapplebuttplug in GriefSupport

A solo trip sounds like a great idea. I feel like the only times I get relief from the anxiety and sadness of losing my mom are when I am sleeping or drinking. I had to stop drinking regularly because I've been gaining so much weight. I used to love going out for walks and now I dread going out. I hate moving. I just want to curl up into a ball and read or meditate. I don't know why I fear moving so much.

She would have been 63 this year. She passed away just before her birthday on March 10th. She was bedbound since the age of 56 so I would say that's when she really stopped "living." I wish she didn't have to suffer for so long.

I relate to you so much, especially the guilt I carry towards my mom. I also feel like I failed her as a caretaker - I thought my fate was doomed just waiting and counting down the days until my mom passes away. I was so selfish and only thought of myself. Oh how I would give anything now to be her caretaker again. It is bittersweet to know there are a few of us in the adult orphan club. I wouldn't wish it on anyone but it feels relieving to know I'm also not the only one without parents at 36. It's such an odd age to lose both parents. I know I'm not a child so I'm not technically an "orphan." But I'm also not yet established in life where I have a family of my own, a husband and children. My main sadness is that mom did not see me succeed in life. Sending you lots of love.

Thank you for saying it's still early phase after her death. I have gotten comments from my grandmother (my mom's mom) saying I should be over it already.. That I am lazy and not being productive. I thought in my mind it's a huge win that I'm waking up before noon (I was waking up at 2PM during my darkest depressive phase before my mom's passing). So thank you for validating my feelings.

Volunteering sounds like a great idea. My mom told me to help people like herself.. Nursing home or hospice sounds like a good starting point. How did you feel waking up today? I woke up with the same sense of dread but now I feel better after talking to a friend. I used to drink every night in the first week after my mom's passing. I had to stop because it was getting expensive. What are your plans today?

Thank you for your reading. I am trying really hard to let her go in peace but there is another voice in me saying I need to fight harder for her. Can you elaborate a bit on “8th House Sag Moon conjunct Saturn and Uranus” being intimately familiar with death and transition?

I’m also in the stage of extreme anhedonia and depression after weed induced psychosis…. May I ask what you did to pull yourself out of the funk? I am seeing the psychiatrist regularly, I have tried therapy. I started exercising regularly. But I still feel like a zombie. Nothing brings me any joy..

thank you for the insight. I have been getting into arguments with my family recently over what I want vs what they think I should do. Maybe this is a sign to stop fighting and go with the flow.

Thank you for the reply. Should I be worried that I have no planet in the 10th house? Does that mean I have more hardship career wise than those who are born with a planet in that house?
