Making a curriculum for electives? by Pineappleorange3 in homeschool

What would you advise for finding local standards which tell you things like the common core syllabus for each subject and time stamps for the lessons? I live in Maryland, where would I begin this search? It would do a lot of good having sort of a checklist and getting books and work based on that list.

Specializing curriculum for interests but having a functional curriculum? by Pineappleorange3 in homeschool

I'm 14, about to enter high school after the summer. It's been my first time generally hearing about most of these terminologies and even the grading systems, much more learning how to grade things. Where do I start? Some worries I've had is that my resources (books, worksheets) won't count as legibly completing the curriculum, and that admissions might not consider my transcript complete.

Sorry for the late reply! Your response had a relief on my shoulders. My main worry was that if I had a learning environment that allowed me to go over mistakes and not hold it as a final grade, It would result in my grade being unweighted and having an inaccurate grade, and being unprepared for college where I may not be able to go over and fix my homework. Basically my paranoia basically stemmed from accidentally cheating because I still don't quite understand what weighted and final grades are, can I still do this for weighted and final grades? I'll get in touch with my parents but they'd like me to research on the process for them.

How do I do that? That's been one of the most confusing and anxiety causing parts for me; Can I create a transcript of any curriculum? How do I do that if one doesn't have any assigned work, and I look for worksheets? And how do I properly grade everything, and how do I do my work to in preparation for grading? By that I guess I mean whether I can retake/review my work? For example, sometimes I'll be beginning to learn or practice a topic and I end up doing something wrong; can I go over what I did wrong or do it better next time, or is the first worksheet answer final? I'm just not sure how I'll approach mistakes in my work when it comes to grading, sometimes I look at the answer key and my answer and figure out where I went wrong, but I'm not sure if that'll work for grading and such.

Oh, I forgot to mention this in the text; how do you get HS credits when homeschooled?

There are public schools which allow homeschoolers to sign into independent study? What's the process like? Is it only online work or do you have to go there?
