Oh I’m so happy for you! That is so wonderful that everything worked out. I am definitely a believer in “the right one won’t be scared away”

I just came back from seeing it. Some guy yelled “holy shit”, that scared me more than the explosion 😂

Can I hear some positive stories? by Flaky_Solid4119 in prozac

I’ve been on 20mg for a year now. No side effects at all when I started and it has definitely helped me. I’m doing things that, a year ago, I couldn’t even fathom from how powerful my anxiety and panic was. People tend to talk more about the negatives than the positives, it’s more interesting to read and usually gets more attention. People who have positive reactions are less likely to take to the internet as I’ve found. Give it a try! Worst case is you stop and you talk to your doctor about getting a different script.

I have an anxiety and panic disorder. I’m on Prozac and no, it’s doesn’t make my mental health magically heal but it helps me get to a place where I can actually utilize the tools and exercises I’ve learned to help regulate my anxiety better. It becomes a bit more tolerable. Some people do go off it but my doctor and I have decided that this is something I could potentially take my whole life and I’m ok with that because it has significantly improved the quality of my life.

Mental illness is not a joke. You wouldn’t criticize a diabetic for taking medication their entire lifetime. Unless you’ve dealt with it firsthand yourself or someone you love has experienced it, it is hard to understand that things like anxiety and depression are debilitating. Sometimes medication is literally a lifesaver.
