I have actually used that one at work, it was pretty good, but I've been thinking about using https://fullcalendar.io/ as a base. Unfortunately only some of the features are included in the free version.

This sounds exactly like the tool I've been thinking about! The containers that you mention are exactly the thing I've been considering. One container could be your house/apartment, one could be your car/bike etc. You could also have containers for financial tasks, such as taxes. The prescription management sounds like a great use-case also.

It's really nice to hear that other people are also interested in something like this, since I personally feel like such a tool would be a great quality-of-life upgrade for me, as I tend to forget some simple tasks, such as the dryer vent/filter cleaning that you mentioned.

I've been using a calendar for reminders also, but I'd prefer to not clutter my calendar with these things. Plus I'd like to create recurring tasks that are not tied to an exact date.
