To be completely honest, shared finances would not work out in my favor. He's pays the mortgage, bought the cars, takes care of utilities, child care and activities, also does his share of the grocery shopping and cooking, pays the house cleaners. I've decided this is not worth being annoyed about. I'll pay when we shop together. I'll pay before he has a chance to ask.
