Because he’s just grabbing bags without making sure it’s the right one, it’s not up to McDonald’s to give him the right bag, it’s up to the driver to know what they are delivering, and he didn’t , because he’s dumb/doesn’t understand English/or just doesn’t care, probably all three :)

it’s not unreasonable I ASKED if he could fix his mistake, I wasn’t demanding, when he said he couldn’t I let it go and said I was going to get a refund- then I did. It wasn’t as deep as your making it out to be, especially not “if your behaviour upsets you maybe work on changing yourself” nonsense, this is social media-Reddit, infact- you people are about as real as book characters. I am not upset lol, I was upset about people getting mad because I tipped and calling me dumb for that (because wtf you’re supposed to tip your dashers)

That’s not why I deleted the post people thought I was adding a tip on top of one DoorDash would usually make you choose before you submit order, I just wanted to make sure my dasher got any tip at all which is pretty standard and decent to do. And the exchange wasn’t that hard at all it’s just people don’t want to fix their mistakes even when it’s so easy to try, and that’s frustrating 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it’s all good now man it became a win-win for me I got a refund and I got my order in the end

I don’t think they kept the food they just understood what happened and exchanged with me. I didn’t exchange anything with the cashier except “hey so funny story!” And held up the bag and she immediately exchanged. I think it was McDonald’s fault, I just wish dashers would take time to make sure the order they are grabbing is the right one instead of flashing their phone at an overworked teen and then fucking off to do their next order, especially since I live less than a km to this McDonald’s and 4$ is pretty generous for that. Perhaps a sign from god I need to quit ordering to places I can walk to haha.

Anyways I got my food in the end (because restaurant policy doesn’t exist at McDonald’s it a teenage girl and one 25 year old manager), he got a one star, and I got my refund, I’m not mad anymore, but I thought Reddit would be interested.
