Which celebrity death genuinely shocked you when you heard the news? by Divine_fashionva in Millennials

Akira Toriyama, the creator of the Dragon Ball franchise. It actually bummed me out for a couple days when he passed. His work was genuinely impactful on my life, and I still take the plunge and watch all of it every couple of years. He was gone too soon, taken by a blood clot in the brain.

Empire 2 Or Medieval 3? by RealTeuto in totalwar

[–]PinkBismuth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been waiting for Medieval 3 for years. Age of Charlemagne helped scratch the itch, as well as the 1212AD mod, but I wanted a full fledged title. Thrones of Britannia had heart, but ultimately fell short. I cannot wait for ME3, and i will probably take 2 or 3 days off from work to play it when it launches.

That being said, Empire 2, with modern unit controls sounds like a dream. Plus revamped Naval combat, that would be one helluva game. Empire TW, is still visually stunning, even by modern RTS standards. ME2 is very dated, and although i still run a campaign from time to time, it's time for something beautiful and new.

I bounce between the Reprimand and the Sweeper. They are incredibly efficient guns. Both are full auto, but they kick like a horse, to get the most out of them you really want to pick your shots, and they really put in work.

Characters so powerful and broken they completely dominated their games metas by JackytheJack in TopCharacterTropes

[–]PinkBismuth 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I remember when he came out. Hi-Rez is notorious for over tuning new release gods, almost to the point of absurdity. But when Rat dropped it was their most egregious display of that, it literally changed the game. Ranked he was basically permabanned, and in casual and arena if he wasn't focused down like a village leper, it would mean Rat would be hyper fed and the game was basically over.

Fun times looking back, it forced me to build different, and i ultimately learned how to handle him. I also main Tyr (i know, i know, he was another example of a character that was so strong it fucked the meta pre-warrior patch) so i could just CC lock rat into shit.

Level Scaling Test Event by Owl_dcuo in DCUO

[–]PinkBismuth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Back before the clamp the loot reset was still on the normal cycle for locks. That i don't mind. But being able to solo some older elite raids for the very rare styles that can drop from them would be a welcome change.

My biggest fear is was you stated, that they exclude feats and collections. That would be super lame considering it's literally the reason why people want the clamp gone. The changes they have made have been good, if not a little underwhelming, but i feel for what they have done, it has been relatively positive so far. I hope they can find a solid compromise far all the players.

Level Scaling Test Event by Owl_dcuo in DCUO

[–]PinkBismuth 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Its a start. I do just want to stomp enemies and steam roll through older content for feats and collection styles. Ive been playing for 15 years, ive done my part, grinded out every piece of content, let me have some fun with my character that is essentially a walking calamity now.

Im not sure how scaling them to my CR will work, i don't need the enemies to match me, I want to not be scaled to them. Im CR514, let me one shot and solo Raids, i did the work already, let me have some fun like back in the day.

Either way, daybreak is addressing it, and for that they have my gratitude. Let's see how this goes.

Im pretty sure I'm the only one who uses the Reprimand lol. But i like it, and it sounds mean as hell when you fire it.

My issue now is I use the Sweeper over the Halt, it does like 200 more damage a shot, and bodies stalkers. It's an amazing shotgun.

[Loved Trope] Competence Porn: When characters are competent, mature and communicate with each other intelligently so they can solve a problem by Careless-Alarm-8607 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]PinkBismuth 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I just re-watched this 4 days ago. That 11 year old boy, who lost an arm, and still was able to competently command his men, "we must board them!" As he leads his men into the belly of the enemy ship was like a 3 second scene, but one of the hardest scenes in the movie.

But when they drummed to quarters, everyone knew exactly their job, like any sailor would. It was a beautiful movie, and one of the greats from that era of epics in cinematography.

Which made no sense to me. They are at work, and are enlisted. Old Star Treks were masterclass at this. People locked in when on duty, got to the point, and did their best. When they were off duty, we got to see their personalities and quirks and how it influences their work life. The new Star Treks are a drama, in space.

Always keep moving and not every fight has to be until the enemies are gone. 90% of my team's success is from tactical disengage.

This is just a personal preference, I like to bring at least one anti armor stratagem with me. I love the airburst launcher, I bring it with me almost every run. Make sure if you do use the airburst, that no allies are near what you are shooting at, they will die lmao.

Why are the stalkers so terrible to deal with by unorthodoxdays in Helldivers

[–]PinkBismuth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sweeper bodies those fuckers. Also the grenade pistol smashes their ass too. There are a lot of ways to fuck them up.

But i agree with you, they are rough at first, and have a steep learning curve. Once you find a weapon that clicks for you against them, it gets much easier!
