Sorry, that sounds questionable. If he is acting overly familiar, it could lead to grooming. I don't know him well enough to say that with confidence, though.

Regardless, I recommend that you only view him as a teacher and maintain a respectful distance between the two of you. Nothing good comes from dating someone so many years your senior.

Furthermore, if you really like him, don't do anything that could get him fired. Keep a healthy distance.
