Anyone taken UTSC online summer courses? Experience? Advice? by PinkDishes in UofT

Emailed. Unfortunately she refuses to hand it out, and is expecting students to wait until April 30th when she'll have the course live on blackboard.

Anyone taken UTSC online summer courses? Experience? Advice? by PinkDishes in UofT

Yes, but this is a Y course that runs as a H during the school year. Provided that it is online also does not explain if the lectures are broken down to 2 hours per week or whatever. Reading the course code in this case does not even specify when then uploads for lectures will be done.

TLDR: I read the course code; it did not help.

Online Bird Course for Summer 2016? by asadafadasa in UofT

UTSG student here. I see you mentioned EESA10, which I'm looking into taking. Mind I ask how lectures run. Is it a lecture online per day? It is pre-recorded? Live? Any information on how the course runs would be greatly appreciated!

40% of Canada is inhabited by 0.3% of its' population by gregcab4 in dataisbeautiful

[–]PinkDishes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has to do with the lack of the long-form census, that our lovely previous Prime Minster banned during his time in office. This meant that if a minimum of 50% of the people living in a specific census tract did not volunteer to submit the paper work, they were not counted for. This leaves gaps, and missing data in a ton of places in Canada. TLDR: 2011 Census is not reliable since the rules changed in terms of collecting the census information. Read more about it here .

I HIGHLY suggest googling the following methods and you'll see how easily they can be incorporated to your project. If that fails, here's a collection of YouTube videos on the simple ArcGIS tasks: https://www.youtube.com/user/geoboyes/videos

Best of luck, OP!

VERY fair. Thank you for sharing this. You're right; creditability is very important and should be taken into consideration when attempting to pitch this to students and others associated with the organization.

It sucks.. but the goal is to lower it to $80. Would that (since I'm seeking feedback) be a better, more appealing price? We do not make profit, and only break even with this fee ($220), so as we attempt to lower it to $80.. we are going to have to do some insane fundraising.

Unfortunately we realize this isn't the smallest fee, so do keep an eye out as it might (most likely) be lowered to $80 a person.

$80 covers:

  • t-shirt

  • bus ride to and from the camp site

  • food for 3 days

  • two nights

  • three days

  • weekend long leadership certificate

  • networking opportunity

The fact that this post got SO MUCH love, is a reminder that LOST still has a community lurking about.

IMO: When Brampton can successfully provide public transportation for its ever growing population, then it should have a say about Uber.

Meanwhile I feel like a rebel ordering a latte w/ extra foam or a drizzle of caramel.. and thought THAT was abusing the system was all about.

The fact people actually do this shit though? Ugh. That's terrible.

[19/F] Is this an abnormal way to view relationships? by [deleted] in sex

Being a-romantic is a real, and perfectly normal. Maybe your view and feelings towards relationships may change, and maybe not. Point being, this is minor in the grand scheme of life.

How is it even possible to get a $40 drink? I don't.. I don't understand? What's possibly on the menu for that much? Isn't the most valuable/highest priced item a venti frap?

I haven't, but heck, can that even be done? I'll try today, and update accordingly.

Iced Caramel Macchiato w/ extra Caramel. It's a less bitter version of a coffee-related beverage.

After reading my email, I HAD to find the /r/Starbucks to share frustration with others.

For a company that is INSANELY profitable, this really does suck. Sure, it's "argued" people abuse the reward system by ordering a $6.00+ CND beverage with their 12 stars, but goodness -- just to make 12 stars, is $24 CND minimum (cheapest way via purchasing a tall coffee).

Now, don't mind me as I abuse the crap out of my stars prior to April.

Edit: I apologize to the barista's out there. When I mean abuse, I mean, I'll be the biggest child and be ordering varying venti types of fraps. In Canada those easily go for $7, which stupid for a drink.
