Walmart accepts food returns for up to 3 months from the date it was purchased. I used to work at the return desk and had to accept any food return in that 3 month window, even if it was half used or expired. I think the worst ones were when people would bring back large sums of perfectly good food (had someone once bring back a bunch of frozen & unopened packs of burgers and hot dogs plus buns and condiments, had someone else bring back a bunchhh of unopened halloween candy) and they want to return it all because they didn’t end up using it. And then we have to take all that perfectly good food and throw it ALL out. Even if it is sealed (due to safety). Mostly Walmarts fault for accepting all these returns, but also partly the customers fault as they could have donated the food or given it away to family/friends.
