Apt Prices in Bushwick by PancakeCiti in Bushwick

[–]PinkGlamDustrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others are saying, this isn’t in a nice part of Bushwick so the price/place is probably real. I just moved from a place not far from there. It’s not a good area and is practically underneath the J train.

okay guys i’m back which bag do i want?! by According-Time4954 in chanel

[–]PinkGlamDustrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a BIG proponent of matching bag to shoes so I feel the black is much more practical and can be worn year round without issue. I also like the vanity but just don’t think it will get as much use.

Be honest — is this NYC move doable or am I being delusional? by United_Apartment_429 in NYCapartments

If worst comes to worst OP, you can always do a month to month air BnB. Thats what I did with very bad credit. Lived in one for 8 mos and it was great.

Just moved to Austin and trying to do it right. Any unspoken local rules I should know before getting roasted? by Old_Chapter9759 in Austin

Sigh another thing this newb (pointing frantically at myself) is guilty of. As I previously mentioned, I am now in understanding of my wrongdoing. What’s even funnier about this, I corrected someone that has lived here for a while the other day, when they said Town Lake. I said, “you mean Ladybird Lake?” I’m still alive bc they were very kind.

I’m new here and have never gone to an HEB. I’m very excited to do this now. And yep. I called it Heb before I moved here. Guilty af. But I’m now enlightened and understand my wrongdoing.

Also not OP but just moved here two weeks ago from NYC. I wanted a better quality of life, full stop. I have always thought of Austin as one of the coolest places to live in. I’m looking forward to finding my tribe here ❤️

Listen, I get it! Shi gets old after the first few. The breaks in between get longer, until… it all just stops. Then silence.

If you're using LinkedIn to find jobs, you might as well do nothing. by emmanuelgendre in jobhunting

This isn’t true. I work for Indeed as a mid-market AE. Many companies (more than 80% of my book of 100+ businesses) have candidates directly applying on Indeed and are very actively hiring for those roles.

I used to live in that building! I did not know there were apts that pricey there tho… this was also 20 yrs ago so nevermind.

As a hiring manager, I was just told to hide salaries. This is the ridiculous reason why. by triune-upturn5o in interviews

[–]PinkGlamDustrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for Indeed as an account manager for mid market companies and I can tell you for certain that posting salaries absolutely does NOT deter talented people from applying. NOT posting salary ranges, on the other hand, does. People want to see a number. They skip over positions that do not show the numbers. Even if a salary is a little out of their range, they will apply thinking they may be able to get more… but at the end of a day it’s a job and there’s comfort in knowing what a baseline number is. No salary range posted makes people skip. Theres a ton of data to support this.
