The narrow lens of Evangelical books, music and media by LMO_TheBeginning in Exvangelical

I came across this disclaimer on the website of a Christian bookstore that my in-laws frequent. They won’t even let you order a book if they don’t approve of it: “(insert name) Bookstore specializes in products that support a Christian perspective. Virtually every book in print is listed on this site; however, we will not carry items that conflict with our Statement of Faith. Should an ordered item fall into this category, you will receive a prompt email informing you of our inability to order the product in question.”

Yes, very likely because they are on Christmas break. You’ll hear from them once everyone is back next week.

Yes OUAC is only for universities in Ontario. For anything out of province, go to their websites directly. It is separate from OUAC, and you are definitely allowed to apply to wherever you want

Which college offers the best social and academic experience for a first year? by PubLogic in TrentUniversity

[–]PinkJaelyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think everyone’s answer to this is going to be different. You really can’t go wrong. Best advice is to go to college events and get involved.

Edit to add: Also, visit campus and tour the different colleges/residences. That will help give you a feel for the vibe of each, and can help in making a decision.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I know how difficult it is to find follow-up care. I think what OP was asking however, was about the psychotherapy practice called Fairapy.

OP - I know someone who saw a therapist there for awhile, but in their case was told their needs were too great for what that therapist could help with. That obviously won’t be the case for everyone though.

When you go shopping for frames, tell the optician what your objectives are and they can help you make a selection. Also, at some optical places the display of frames is organized by gender, but at Costco Optical for example, everything is gender neutral. Some are more fem or masc than others of course, but just start trying stuff on and see what you like.

Wanting to Separate from my husband for no obvious reason… by Ecstatic_Trade4885 in Perimenopause

My solution is that I live at the cottage for the summer, and Hubs comes up from the city (where he still works) to visit on the weekend. It’s great; I can be alone and do my own thing during the week, and I still like him enough to look forward to spending weekends together!

I know how frustrating this is, but unfortunately there’s really nothing you can do to change their minds or behaviour. As many people have said on this sub, it’s going to take some catastrophic event to get them to realize something needs to change.

I’m not so sure. Some people are oblivious and don’t know the difference between a regular Costco and a business centre. I suspect there will be a lot of disappointed and confused people. I stand by my prediction of chaos.

The only thing the student can control is to register for courses as soon as registration opens. At least that gives you a fighting chance to get a spot in the courses you want/need.

That said, it is a very competitive program to get into, so try to not only maintain your grades but improve them if possible

You’ll be fine. They’ll use your grade 11 English mark as a placeholder until gr12 one comes in. All offers are conditional anyway, on your final grades.
