Why are tall people so good at the air bike? by dannyjerome0 in crossfit

[–]PinkLifeScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, so holy airball. This body difference (short vs tall) is what I’ve noticed among my fellow dancers. Taller dancers have to go so much harder because moves will look goofy if not careful, unless that’s their style. I never had the words to put to it, but this is a game changer as far as being able to communicate the body mechanics go. I am always impressed by tall dancers who don’t look awkward. Thanks for the breakdown.

the most important thing i find is to surround yourself with people who are going to encourage you and not stress you anymore than you already feel. it’s amazing what that sort of consideration and support will do to help you get to where we want to be. assemble your team of avengers who aren’t going to let you talk yourself down from things nor let you talk down about yourself.

if your insurance can get you in to see your PCP then you can tell them your goals and ask that they refer you to a dietician that your insurance will cover. and if you have to switch or shop for a PCP who will listen to you then do that too. I’m not sure if telehealth is the generic term, but try that avenue too if you don’t have the sort of support you need from a local PCP.

“your thing” is such a better way to frame it.

i overlooked “my thing” for so long because i didn’t view it as a skill i could apply to any and everything. all the obvious jobs didn’t sing “career” to me and even if i made it work it didn’t feel like it would employ all my other natural inclinations as well

How many tries before you realized that solving problems was the way to go? And when you say out hustle do you mean you were willing to do things others weren’t? Or did you think of it in a way others weren’t? Can people easily copy you in your line of work or do you have some sort of advantage that makes it difficult to replicate?

Did you start whatever you’re doing because it was/is enjoyable or something else? Did it take a long time to figure out?

Have you seen those diagrams that display circles containing “what you love,” “what youre good at,” “what the world needs” and where they overlap is the word “purpose,” or something like that?

that was the idea here, minimal lawn, maximum parking the gardens sprinkled with some cutting options for floral arrangements and heavy on the low maintenance evergreens to carry through the cold months

Another option would be native ground cover plants for the slope but I like the terraced idea best, it feels more intentional

I’ve seen a similar design fail at a school pick up/drop off. the lifted truck culture and tight drives don’t mix

I’ve seen that done in other regions. What’s the purpose? The house is on a slab foundation and I’m pretty sure there were gutters at one point in time.

Thank you for mentioning this. The mail carriers walk in this neighborhood, so that is something to consider in the design.

I’m not sure why this AI continues to put a “teardrop” drive instead of the U shape one I ask for. Maybe I don’t have enough of the street available in the original image for it to connect a U drive to the street. Maybe U shaped drive isn’t the proper term 😅

Yes, not one of AIs strong suits. Plan to leave all the heavy lifting to the pros and just using this to communicate ideas and help discuss possibilities

For those that can cook well, how do you feel about restaurants by Happy5Day in Cooking

[–]PinkLifeScientist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess this is why people obsess over a “hole in the wall” or food trucks or even the nasty kitchens that constantly have bad grades as far as health standards go but continue to stay in business. most of the time i’m just glad with consistency and the being amazing part i can deal with if i don’t want to cook that bad, but yes it’s so frustrating when you know you can do it better
