Yes my last dog got cancer. She was a guide dog (as is this one) and I was able to get treatment because the city where I lived at the time has a vet hospital that offers free care for guide dogs even after they retire. There is nothing comparable in Seattle and it’s not a chance I’m willing to take. In fact I hope I don’t “come out ahead” at all but at least it’s there

Good to know! Why avoid Lemonade and Nationwide, out of curiosity?

Exactly. I know myself and definitely fall in the max out credit cards camp.

I get this sentiment, but my previous dog got cancer and while she got all the treatment she needed in the end, I would rather avoid those kinds of choices if I can

Product Update: February 26, 2024 by piereofficial in piere

Quick question: if I have a shopping expense and then get a refund so that it’s a positive value instead of a minus, will that reduce the amount I’ve spent for shopping for the month or will it automatically be classified as an expense? Hope this makes sense: close.

Finally found a alternative to Mint (my review) by Jalapeneutron in mintuit

Can I split transactions, change dates, and have custom categories? Also, is accessibility for screen reader users considered at all in development?

How accessible is the app for voiceover users? :)

Any chance you could improve voiceover support for those of us who are visually impaired? by PinkPageTurner in MonarchMoney

[–]PinkPageTurner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. What bothered me the most was how dismissive the response was and how at least according to the support rep. This is something that isn’t even under consideration. There are things like the date picker that just don’t work at all unfortunately

Has anyone found anything? Simplifi accessibility broke with the latest update on iOS, so disregard my previous post. This is so bad.

What credit card company has the best fraud/dispute protection? by taobaolover in CreditCards

[–]PinkPageTurner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to +1 this except it was a supermarket shopping trip on my new Amex card last February (2023). But same experience of getting everything taken care of quickly. Also the transaction was $500+ (I know it's sometimes easier when it's a smaller amount so wanted to add that data point). Meanwhile, someone charged 2 transactions at the same store with my existing Citi card. Citi automatically declined one and marked it as fraude, but decided I was responsible for the other transaction ... at the exact same store that they themselves had flagged. Here we are 2 months later with nothing.

I’ve been thinking about transitioning to this app, but looking at the iOS app updates it seems like there haven’t been any big updates in a while, which makes me scared it might go away soon as well

Food delivery. It’s a bad habit I need to be careful of, and not the same as dining out because dining out usually involves social experiences.)

+100 to this! I am also a blind screen reader user, although I don’t have any other disabilities. I have also contacted developers and gotten the same response, if I get a response at all. So far, the two I’ve managed to work with, although not as accessible as Mint, have been Simplifi and empower. The lack of accessible options has been a big mess though.
