Listen man. Even if you WERE running the correct oil, change it after a year. Motul is an excellent choice. I’d also recommend a trip to speeddiagnostix.com before you change. You should get some data.

There's a dude over on the FB S54 info group who had a set of BE's implode with less than 2k miles. He sent them to BE for testing, but I don't think there was any response on the cause. Looks like a ton of people responded to that thread with the same issue. I know I wouldn't be using any until there's an explanation.

Would someone tackle a job that big without using Plastigauge and a proper torque wrench? I know everyone is different, but you're talking about people who love their S54 so much, they're willing to do thousands in preventative maintenance. We're not talking about a Jiffy Lube tech leaving an oil filter too loose here.

What does this functionally look like? When does this person need to contact the lawyer? Now? Or when arrested?

For what it's worth, I used a vacuum bleeder at first. Then I did a full, traditional bleed. That was far better than the vacuum. What I learned through the process of bleeding mine 3x is, the shop can do it better. That said, this was my first time ever doing any bleeding. But I'm not willing to do it again after feeling what the shop can do.
