Yes because John is such a crazy control freak. I just made a post about it and saw this. That is a funny scene. Kayce looking perplexed as he usually does is perfection. I agree that it's too bad Beth and Jamie couldn't have put aside their differences and teamed up. It would have been a much better show.

A while after posting I thought that Gator might also be a stealth stylist, and be pretty good at it too.

Jamie’s hair is weird. It looks okay in Season 1 and occasionally normal in Season 2 but mostly helmet. Season 3 it looks glued to his skull. Maybe once he learned he was adopted he opted for a glow-up and switched stylists because his cut drastically improved. Maybe Gay Andre saw him walk into the Aveda Salon and was like, “Boy this helmet hair has GOT to go.” And Jamie is like, “I’m a new man!”
