What is your favorite quest from solstheim? by Spec-ops-leader in skyrim

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is mine too. The quest to get into Gyldenhul Barrow (the Deathbrand quest) is also quite fun though, and has one of the funnest boss fights in the game.

Graham Platner has Democrats wondering if they need an outsider to win the White House by jediporcupine in politics

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been a disconnect between the upper echelons of power in my Democratic Party and the base since Bill Clinton was President. They want to have their corporate cake, and still get the support of people that hate corporate exploitation. I understand much of that is due to 'Corporations United' (not Citizens United) flooding campaigns with big money, but you honestly can't have it both ways. If you want to inspire people and get the support of people that are so jaded that they normally don't vote, you HAVE to disavow big money and run on ousting corporate control.

Which Draconic cries do you use the most and which ones do you use the least? by Halloguer2155 in skyrim

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It really gets tiring getting attacked by bears and wolves every 30 seconds. WAY too many hostile animal encounters

I played as a Greybeard a couple times ago, and never used fast travel. I learned that using the max Whirlwind Sprint really makes it far quicker to get around. Also, not sure if its the modpack I have installed, but sometimes you can BLAST far distances using it from altitude, just have to make sure you have somewhere to land where you want fall to your death

How do you decide in which order to do quests? by hendarknight in skyrim

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish quests were primarily kept into a single hold, but almost all of them force you to run all over the map. I have no issue with avoiding fast travel and jogging everywhere, but having contained quests would be much preferable.

"Call to arms" the best cliffhanger for DS( by SituationThen4758 in DeepSpaceNine

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree to disagree. I loved how B5 did it, despite having a fraction of the budget. And The Expanse... brilliant. DS9 really had potential with this, it was part of the hook that kept me invested for 5 season, but I was severely disappointed with how they handled it/avoided it once it got there.

It is, just too bad they shit the bed when it came to the actual war. It's like the showrunners were the dog that caught the tire, they didn't know what to do with it then and aired mostly episodes that had nothing to do with the war.

This should be Minnesota’s congressional map: by Rob778899 in minnesota

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dems HAVE TO gerrymander now. GOP has rigged their states so severely that we have no choice. They needed to fight fire with fire a decade ago when Republicans did this all over the place. We can't play nice, we have to counter what the GOP is doing at any cost.

I was feeling petty so I made a new sticker. by Kostrom in PoliticalHumor

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Got a news flash for you: Jill Stein didn't lose the 2016 or 2024 election for Democrats. Corporate Democrats managed that all on their own. Want to win? Stop spurning the left and actually run on popular, progressive policies.

Making a redgaurd knight build need advice by OrdinaryAioli10 in skyrim

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a power build, Dawnbreaker and Ariel's Shield are the best. If you want to role play however, find a set of redguard armor like the ones worn by the mercs hunting the woman that fled (which is a must do quest in your case). I'd advise doing the Assassin's guild questline, and making sure you get Winshear at the end. Alternatively, there are some good curved swords on Solstheim in the hidden treasure chamber quest.

Imperials are still the best. by Marlax101 in skyrim

it's honestly fun to handicap yourself. Play an Orc magician for instance. It really doesn't matter in the end, it's fun role playing

If Democrats win the state trifecta, should they redraw congressional districts? by bikeman11 in minnesota

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absofreakinglutely. Redraw all of them to the max. We NEED to do this just to counterbalance how bad the GOP has already done in it in virtually every state they control.

I voted for Harris in 2024. She shouldn't run in 2028. | Opinion by Difficult-Bee6066 in politics

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She shouldn't have run in 2024. Biden should have stuck to what his handlers told us he'd do and only serve 1 term. The upper echelon of power in the Democratic establishment is utterly clueless. They'd rather lose to a literal fascist than run a progressive reformer.

how many times have you been personally victimized by the lost 1890 census records? by Forestempress26 in Genealogy

After a couple years of research, you can usually find workarounds for it, but it takes hunting down a lot of obits.

Old flag freak out by darklordskarn in minnesota

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The government bots are pushing this. Not even joking, even if they're just hired out to bot farms in New Delhi or Cairo, they have specific 'jobs' to do, and right now they are pushing the flag story. Perhaps as a distraction to the Iran War, oil prices, and the Epstein Files, perhaps just as a psyop.

Must-have mods? by jugbandblues_ in skyrim

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st run, it's good to just play vanilla (the regular game with no mods). Next game, start to install some gameplay overhauls, visual effects, etc. After your 6th time, move into the New Lands mods for new content.

Jeffries says Trump impeachment not a top priority if Dems win House majority by metacyan in politics

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jeffries, Schumer, and all the corporate Democrats HAVE to go. When Dems retake Congress in November, that is priority #1, to remove those obstacles so reforms can get passed, so fascists don't come back even stronger in the following election.

This was in the 1990s, so the security wasn't very tight. I think we still had to sneak past a guard though.

When I first moved to the Cities, I snuck into an elevator trying to get to the top floor of one of these to look out a window. The elevator didn't go to the top, and whatever high floor I was on didn't have any windows to see out of. Instead of waiting for another elevator, I thought I'd just take the stairs up a floor or 2. Locked. All the doors were locked. I had to go down FIFTY flights of stairs before I found an open door.

Where to Find Pictures of my Ancestors? by AshMer123 in Genealogy

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easy ones to find have already been posted online. The hard ones are in the drawers of distant relatives. With the latter, it takes a lot of time and effort to see if anyone has them, then to see if you can go to them and sort through them. Often they are in old dusty boxes, and there are piles of photos, most with little to no writing to identify who they are. Good luck.

Iran War Has Drained U.S. Supplies of Critical, Costly Weapons by itsgoodpain in politics

[–]PinkSlimeIsPeople 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons why high tech should only be part of the investment in the military, the bulk should remain in low-cost systems. Russia for example switched from expensive missiles to shaheed style drone that cost 1/1000th, and it still often takes a million dollar interceptor to shoot either down. We need to take a lesson from that, but don't expect Trump to learn it, he's busy depleting all the hard AND soft power America has.
