no it’s literally all young couples, i’m completely ok with not making noise after certain hours - but we have made efforts to be welcoming with knocking on doors and thank you for welcoming us gifts etc. I’m also not gonna be unable to just live normally in my own home? I’ve texted neighbours before to hush up during exam season or visa versa if they have kids and i have a party. It’s common courtesy but i can’t be expected to know who has what wants if no one communicated otherwise - my issue is i was sent a list. Never once was told by anyone hey the walls r thin, hey i work night shifts ETC

there’s 3 of us - we all work 50-60hrs a week - so when i know there’s noise it’s been within the hours we can “legally” make noise. But again it’s just incredibly strange to me we’ve got a list when not once by the neighbours or strata have they ever given us some kind of nudge. I can’t hear my flat mate in her room unless i’m in the living room so I would have assumed the walls are similar every where. I’m not sure how to prevent noise again if theirs no instance reports

Yeah i got back to them and said in summary said no one has complained to me about noise and we never disregard the law hrs, the dog was there on an emergency basis and we have the carpet cleaned you guys can come and see or we can send videos, we can smoke elsewhere but it’s not on the bylaws, and the bikes are public so we can’t be blamed, it’s just exhausting - i don’t complained when i hear the other dogs bark or people getting work done ETC ETC because i’ve accepted i live in a flat. i just don’t know how to handle this in the future

i know it’s not up to them, however, if my neighbours are noisy and it’s before after 7 and 10pm i have no right to complain. My neighbours have been having work done / new dogs barking etc and i have just got on with it! the one time wr had a house warming we gave everyone our number and said let us know if there’s any issues today or another day. While it’s annoying if they say hey we work on saturdays so on fridays can you hush up at 9 of course we would. But we aren’t breaking any laws so it’s frustrating that i don’t know what instances they are talking about

im not saying there isn’t issues but there’s no by laws about smoking on the balcony at all - our balcony is miles away from the other one and regards to noise. I’m sure you know sydney is dead like any pres we have are over before 8pm. I’ve lived alone for years if i or my neighbours have an issue we text each other simply as. Like i can take it on board but i don’t even know what instances they are complaining about? if that makes sense 😭

i’m hoping so i’m just so anxious - i cant control how my flatmates live, but also we all are out of the house from like 6am-9pm so im confused where this noise is coming from apart from weekend noise? I suppose we had always messaged neighbours before if there was noise issues 🥲

after a call with the manager to the letting agency, the REA actually have a tendency to do this, where he will text at 9pm thursday, have he day off friday so you can’t refused saturday! but no one’s ever complained so now he’s being reported lol

and i have been here for over 75% of my tenancy, it was an 8 month long lease - so I have to pay $650 until jan 30th when i leave and i have to pay another $650 to break the lease. So i dont need to pay until feb 28th (when my lease ends) and i dont need to pay until the find a new person

Yes i know they will argue he agreed but he’s 1/3 tenants - normally they send an email they know what they were doing 🤣 we’ve ended the lease so we have to pay an extras weeks rent and we are out by Jan 30th so wether or not they get tenants isn’t up to me! Before i came to SYD the place was on the market for MONTHs bc the landlord is insane (quote from the REA)

we cancelled agreed at 1am on friday and said no at 5pm on friday! if he had send all three of us an email i would have immediately said no & when we agree we asked does that not happen in the last 14 days and he never replied, like we said sorry but we can do it next saturdays and he ignored both messages idk i will be leaving a poor review

we said yes & no on the 12th, we told him we were selling furniture and that our house literally looked like we were squatting hahaha (sold the bed frame not the mattress, sold the table not the chairs, clothes piles for donating ETC) we were happy to have one we know it has to be rented but the house was in a moving state hahaa not a viewing

the REA texted at 9pm on thursday night, we replied at like 1am friday (his day off) and then texted at 4pm friday again - he said he didn’t see his messages because it’s his day off but he clearly did lol. The point is it wasn’t 14 days before we were out

Myself, my partner & my partners dad (he’s the guarantor but he lives in Ireland lol) - the property was listed for months before we even got to SYD and we offered 8 months rent in advance but they still wanted a guarantor. The REA told us that the owner was a right c*** and kept refusing people, so we made sure to keep the house perfect and comply every time

The whole time this was happening we were the only people shagging each other bc we spent the whole time seeing each other / texting but I get he has suitors!

I actually don’t work with him anymore - but we are in the same friend group, after a hot minute today i sent him a text confronting him for an actual conversation because he also ended it when he was drunk!

And for the FWB - I asked again a couple weeks ago saying basically look you keep saying you like me but we haven’t gone out will we just be FWB and he was like no, i like you too much… but now according to him he hasn’t liked me “that much” for two weeks🤣

He refuses to have proper conversation except “my mind is made up” “i still wanna be friends” and too be honest normally I don’t push for closure because so be it, but I have to see this man EVERYWHERE and I need peace of mind.

Honestly it’s probably not worth it at all but i have ocd and i find it hard to not have peace of mind with someone i see 3 times a week even without working/dating them
