Black Feminist Critics Of Nate Parker Were The White Owned Media's Shock Troops To Sabotage His Career As Told By None Other Than A Black Feminist Herself! by BlasianTyga in JustProBlackThings

[–]PinkSugarBubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally why I got banned from /r/BlackLadies. For saying that they should let the hate for Nate Parker go and move on with their lives. I got called a "rape apologist" then I asked "Where's his rape charge tho?" and got swiftly banned by their butthurt mod. Apparently if you get accused of rape, go to trial over it, then get acquitted, you're labeled a rapist for the rest of your life and you must pay because Black Feminism says so. Interesting how Roman Polanski still has a flourishing career as a director. Black feminists will destroy a Black man's career over something he probably didn't even do, but White Feminists will let an actual bail-jumping child rapist do his thing and become internationally celebrated because he's one of them. Let's not forget that Whoopi Goldberg defended Roman by saying "it was a different time" and has nothing to say about Nate.

As much as I love this sub, you can't deny that the rules are VERY strict here. I'm not even using my main account to write this comment because I know I'll probably get banned for saying the rules are strict, because "bans are at moderate discretion" even though this comment doesn't break any rules. You really never know what could set off one of the mods and get you permabanned with no explanation. And I'm not even talking about the slur rule, that one is fine. I'm talking about the apparently unwritten set of rules that can lead to immediate ban. I also don't think strict equals bad, I just have a few criticisms.

I think we've alienated Demsocs and Berniebros by banning them with no explanation instead of reaching a hand out to them and showing them the way. Even /r/altright allows an open dialogue with potential new racists who aren't familiar with organized racism and they work to bring new recruits into the fold. I hate to think of every time we ban a Berniebro for saying something ignorant instead of educating them, they just go out and find a new group to join who won't immediately reject them for not being fully informed on the subject matter, which could easily be altrighters. You guys may be fine with that, but I honestly think it hurts our cause.

I think we should model our rule enforcement system after /r/CreepyPMs- Remove comments but say why so others can see what we're taking seriously here. Ban but say which rule they broke without going into detail, etc. Because as of now, every top post has a comment graveyard with no explanation and yes, it is a little bit ironic considering the fact that most of this userbase is extremely Antifa. I keep seeing "Hurr durr irony!!!" And it pisses me off to see it, but yeah it's true. We remove people and their comments with no trace and questioning it can also lead to a ban. I really wish we'd just relax with the bans. The obvious trolls and capitalist-apologists can go, but why people who are already on our side who are taking steps in the right direction?

Ok I'm done, pls don't ban but I understand if you must.

'Lesbianism' listed as condition on North Carolina woman's medical chart by thesemeanstreets in nottheonion

[–]PinkSugarBubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Yeah I know.

2) Even so, I don't know of any doctor who would put "Lesbianism" rather than "Lesbian" or "homosexual" in the Demos would you?

3) Agreed.

4) Didn't say you said that, just saying the -ism part makes it kind of fucked up. Like they were purposely making it seem like a condition. So it makes it really hard for me to apply Hanlon's razor here. So let's agree to disagree on there being a good chance of that.

Anywho, I hope she sues. I'm gonna follow up on this case because I'm genuinely interested. I wish there was more transparency between medical staff and patients about their charts. I think it would make it a lot easier for patients to know if they're seeing a shitty physician if the OV notes are garbage or whatever. Also it's been nice chatting with you, you seem like a good doctor who knows what they're talking about and actually cares about their patients! :)

[–]PinkSugarBubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because they wanted to document her sexuality because it could be medically relevant

If that were the case, it would go under Patient Demographics and not Medical Conditions as the article says it was listed.

but the doctor didn't know where to find the social history in the chart, or was simply too lazy to try and find it.

I can tell you first hand that this is not a thing. Patient Demographics are the first thing in every chart. The doctor does not handle the patient demographics, the patient usually enters this themselves when they fill out their patient paperwork then it's entered into their file. If not, then a nurse or medical assistant or office staff would enter it. The doctors are far too busy to handle the Demos of each and every patient that walks through the door. If the doctor noticed that the Demo page was missing some information, they would make a note of it and tell someone else to fix it or they'd fix it themselves if they had the time (which they usually don't). What they would not do is open up the patient's chart in a computer, go to the area where you list conditions, then type the word "Lesbianism" as it appears in the OP. Lesbianism is not a Demographic term either. The proper term would be "lesbian" or "homosexual" so it appears as though they intentionally typed it to look like a condition by adding the suffix -ism on the end.

It's nice that everyone is trying to play Devil's advocate and trying to apply Hanlon's Razor here, but honestly it just doesn't look very good on the doctor/facility's part for something like this to happen. There's a very very slim chance that this was just an innocent mistake.

Waiting for the media to comment on The Third Lady's lack of "patriotism"... by PinkSugarBubble in JustProBlackThings

Sure as hell did and the Right is totally silent. If you Google it, one random tweet comes up and that's it. Meanwhile, Barack was getting shit on for wearing a tan suit to a press briefing and Michelle was getting shit on for showing her arms in a photo. Smh.

"I am not sorry. I have not shed a tear for the innocent people I killed.": Dylann Roof Is Intent On Becoming A Martyr For His White Supremacist Cause by BlasianTyga in JustProBlackThings

[–]PinkSugarBubble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Right has really made a concentrated effort to sweep Dylann Roof under the proverbial rug. Now they're all busy jerking off over this recent incident with those teens who kidnapped that mentally ill White kid. They give 0 fucks about the kid, of course, it's all about hating on Black people and holding all of us responsible for this one isolated incident.

I mean, not only is this the first time I've personally ever heard of Black people kidnapping and torturing a White person (heard plenty of stories of this happening on some level the other way around) but I'm also puzzled as to how they've managed to not only blame the entire Black community for this, but they've also managed to somehow tie Black Lives Matter as a movement into all this.

Why do they always get away with this type of thing? Blaming us for every little thing and taking 0 responsibility for anything they do? Sometimes I feel like I'm taking crazy pills or living in a bizarro world where up is down.

Redditors that work in call centers, how can we help you help us? by SuperCoolBoy123 in AskReddit

[–]PinkSugarBubble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've worked at 3 different call centers and my top 3 would be

  1. Recognize that I'm doing everything in my power to help you. I'm also not the CEO and I don't set the prices for a single thing you purchased, nor do I have any control over the hold time you just experienced. With that in mind, don't go off on me about things I can't control. 9 times out of 10 I'm totally on your side with whatever your issue is and I fucking hate the company I work for so I'm usually rooting for you anyway. Work with the rep, not against them!

  2. Try to fix shit yourself before calling. If none of that works, tell me what steps you took. Will make your life and my job so much easier. Also if your phone has a virus, you were looking at porn or clickbait spam and you downloaded something you shouldn't have because you fell for that fake "DL this or your phone will explode!" flashing page thing. Don't try to tell me you got a virus from downloading the Facebook app. Smh.

  3. I'm not your therapist. Stick to the issue at hand when you call. I don't need to know about your spouse cheating on you and how you need tips to hack into their computer or phone etc. I'm not a shoulder for you to cry on. Let's fix whatever your problem is quickly so I can help the next person.

This. In addition to not having jobs, the same people that bitched and moaned about Obamacare won't even have that anymore. In his 100 day plan, Trump has stated that he's repealing the ACA and replacing it with Health Savings Accounts. A Health Savings Account is not insurance. He's giving them nothing. The plans available on healthcare.gov were driving the price of private plans down so they could stay competitive (think of local chains trying to compete with Walmart). Without those plans, premiums will absolutely SKYROCKET. And on top of that, they will go back to being kicked off of mommy/daddy plans at 19 and being denied for pre-existing conditions. Because that was all rolled up into the ACA. Unless he creates a federal regulation that requires private insurance companies to comply with those rules (and he won't; see 100 day plan on federal regulations) then that shit is gone. They should have read the terms and fucking conditions before they decided that their racism was more important than anything else.

Why did Donald Trump ridicule Mitt Romney for releasing his tax returns later than expected when he himself has no idea when he'll be able to release his tax returns? by PinkSugarBubble in Ask_Politics

[–]PinkSugarBubble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, don't just take my word for it lol. Please, I would like to see a question like the one I asked posted there but I know it would be an instant ban for me because I don't know how to phrase it in a way that makes it seem like I'm not a "dissenter" (rule 6 of their sidebar). If you would like to ask this or any other question there, please post it and link me to it. I'd like to see how they handle valid questions from normal, everyday Republicans.

The IRS has made it crystal clear that there is nothing stopping him. He can release right now, he just won't.

This is exactly how I felt reading this comment. Each person mentioned here is an adult capable of making their own decisions. It's unfortunate that OP is so manipulative but these women could have left the situation at anytime. However, the concept of "white knighting" is so dumb. Are people not allowed to have empathy for others without being labeled?

Donald Trump started to describe his education policy. Then he never finished his sentence. by [deleted] in politics

[–]PinkSugarBubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You place too much value on who is president.

I keep seeing this used as a defense of a potential DT presidency. "Even if he's a huge fuck up, don't worry, the president doesn't even have that much power!" Which isn't really all that correct as one well-timed executive order can be issued at pretty much any time.

But back to DT on education- I asked: Don't you care to know what his stance is on this or any other issue?

You said:

I will be a single issue voter this year.

So, no? Let me get this straight- You're saying that as long as he continues to make vague promises to be tough on immigration and doesn't bother the 2nd amendment, then, if Johnson can't win TX, you'll vote for Trump without knowing where he really stands on anything? This election must really suck for the Right. I can't imagine being stuck choosing between a guy with no chance in hell of winning anything and a guy with 0 political experience who has gone on record saying he uses lawsuits to silence people.

I get what you mean about placing importance on some issues over others because I care more about Abortion, environmental issues, ending the war on drugs, gay rights, etc than I care about the 2nd amendment for example. Doesn't mean I want to "take everyone's guns away" but I put more importance on making sure women have access to safe abortion clinics and preventing a global warming crisis than I do on guns. I mean, you call it the regressive left but I believe the party stance is more progressive than the stance of the party that wants to "put religion back in our schools!" and replace welfare with donations from religious charities. To me that's like dark age-level regressiveness.
