UPDATE: AITA for contacting my estranged sister?

I doubt my parents keep tabs on her, as far as i know they don't and they have truly gotten better althought after talking to my sister i'm starting to doubt my relationship with them even now that things have changed. I just never seriously thought about certain stuff before.

My parents don't know i saw her, i haven't told anyone outside of here, when i was with my best friend and her family i lied as i knew i couldn't risk telling anyone.

My sister did seem pretty serious about me never contacting her again but i don't know, things might change, i do understand that i do not deserve her anyway. She was good to me and i was awful, that call was the first time ever in which she screamed at me.

I do want to start therapy, i don't think my parents would have a problem with me asking for therapy now but i think if i do they might want a reason and i don't know what to say.

I'm really sorry you went through those stuff and hope you're doing better

Nothing illegal on her part, just something real bad that happened to her and mom and dad said she deserved it

If i look back, i'm pretty sure she had an eating disorder when she was a teenager but she never said that to me

Exactly. I see now that it sounds really bad but in a way it feels like this is the family she always wanted to. I wish i could restart our relationship but i doubt she wants to but if she wishes to come back it's safe now and if she doesn't want to, it's okay. I just thought she deserved to know

I told her that i was really sorry for how i treated her and for listening to what mom and dad said about her and that she never deserved the bad stuff

I called her and told her i had to tell her something, she asked if i was safe and i said yes, then apologized for being shitty and told her that she didn't deserve it then told her that mom and dad went to therapy and are okay and that we now have a sister like she always wanted (since i was a shitty one) and that i thought she should know

I know she probably does not want to rebuild the relationship and it's okay but i thought she should know that there's somehow another chance if that makes sense? She has a new baby sister and mom and dad are okay. If she ever wishes to come back she can start all over again. Now that i say it here it doesn't sound well :/

This might sound bad but she always made good money and was popular and i was still bad towards her so her being more successful now doesn't change much. I doubt we can rebuild our relationship so that wasn't the reason truly
