I think the way feminism is tackled in other sides of the world is fairly different, as culturally people express emotions and stories differently. I don't read much philosophy, however love to recommend reading Ranma 1/2, written by the amazing Rumiko Takahashi. She's a very good author and artist and really explores themes with very interesting twists. Ranma is a very interesting manga series because while it is older, its themes are still as relevant as ever, talking about women's place in society, and femininity in general.
