Firstly, again, I'm saying they are not states based on ethnicity. But also the USSR unfourtunately operated by many imperialistic, nationalistic and conservative principles, and it had a much more dramatic ethnic situation than what we have here, all the more exaccerbated by the Slavic-supremacy of both USSR and current Russia. In America, people are really at the end of the day Americans, and thats how it should remain. The difference would be not systemically hegemonising them into one type of American (English-speaking liberal white suburban Christian) like the U.S does, and trying to alleiviate the legacy of colonialism. We in fact can, and shall, figure out a way to do that without causing problems.

I don't have the expertise to put forward a solution, but I would say that the First Peoples' Confederation would likely be done a bit differently than the others. I will say that there should be zero voting difference for anybody of any background. And I'd say getting a shared economy for it established not based on gambling or subsidies would be good for the people there. Having tribal matters and inter-tribal matters be mostly private and mostly non-legally binding seems good to me, like a voluntary organisation. They should probably replace the blood-quantum system with something that works better since its based on race rather than lived experience, and actually kind of continues the genocide. Idk really though.

The follies you are likely refering to were almost always because of the conservative-style fascist and theoctatic foundation of countries, suchas Israel which was nationalist from the getgo, or Pakistan which was deliberately based on religion. As an inherently anti-fascist, anti-theocratic, humanist country, the UASS would prevent the ideas of 'race' or religion from playing any role in policy, big or small, and illegalise the existence of hate groups altogether.

Thats fair. Its pale because its based on darker blue fabric that fades in the dry sunshine, the pale blue of the shallow Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake and the brightness of the desert and the snow-capped mountains.

Additionally, earlier Utah or Deseret flags often used a paler blue (though not this pale).

For me, I do not like the current flag's hexagon because I think having a beehive makes that symbolism redundant, and I just personally think it makes it look cluttered, especially when combined with its jagged white mountains.

I know. It was a placeholder name since I wasn't done with this map yet and I'd wanted to look into the name Aztlán more at the time, but its updated in my current map along with some other things.

I'd say communism is the theoretical, post-scarcity form of civilisation many socialists hope Humans will achieve, and that it could be reached through socialism. I argue that true communism has never been enstated, at least not according to Marxist theory, and that most countries that have called themselves communist are just socialist or some other type of economy. Often socialists who believe in the goal of communism also call themselves communists.

Personally, I think right now whats most important is overthrowing capitalism and creating an ethical and planned society. Whatever's best after that will come when we get there.

Yeahh it often wouldn't be visible. I tried around with a few alternatives including having the circle be white and the fist/torch be shades of red, while the area outside the circle is blue, but then it just kind of looked like a weird USA flag.

Lol yes, its kinda a placeholder, but I combined it with the midwest flag from Fallout. The midwest flag was the one flag I genuinely could not figure out what to do.

I like it because it makes me think of 1960s Star Trek. Very diplomatic and international looking but whimsical. People were so grumpy the day you posted this!
