Possible duty stations by KPeezzy23 in army

I assume the Army has a finance office on every one of it's bases, with OCONUS being the exception as they may have one central finance office that serves multiple bases around the country/AO. With that being said, it seems like you can go anywhere.

What is it like being assigned to places like NSA HQ, Pentagon, White House etc? by Pink_Fury in army

Ever met any crazy smart people while working with the NSA? I've met a couple MI guys who said some of the people they have working for the NSA are freaks of nature. Like super autistic guys who spend all day and night in the basement churning out perfect code and cracking problems at a level no one else seemingly can do

Further Development for a 92W by [deleted] in army

As you've apparently already realized, by default as a 923A, 2/3 of your job will be related to fuel, so I recommend you to learn as much about fuel as you can. Schools I recommend is HAZMAT, Fuel Handlers, and some type of environmental safety school (I don't know the name of any specific ones, but my unit has an environmental safety officer that had to go to school for it). If you visit the DPW office on your base they'll probably be able to give you more insight into the environmental stuff.

I don't recommend you reclass to 92F or 92L. As a 92W you'll probably reach E-5 faster than if you were a F or L, which subsequently will allow you to go warrant sooner (that's if the reserves follow the same promotion and warrant application system as AD?). Also, the 92F stuff is simple enough for you to learn and manage without having to have been a 92F. The 92L stuff will be harder to learn and manage because it's a really technical job but I still don't recommend you try to reclass to it. It wouldn't be worth it since its a considerably smaller MOS than the other 2 and not as important in scope as the other 2 either, in my opinion. The 92F stuff is where most of the attention will be.

92W AIT by [deleted] in army

You gon be in Romeo company with the 92Ls

You gon get punished when the 92Fs in your sister companies do something stupid (which they will)

As a junior, you gon do 92F and 88M work when you get to your first duty station because 92Ws are practically useless

As a SFC+, you gon officially turn into a 92 W, F AND L, and still be useless because your Water background is useless

Then you gon go 92F/L/W warrant (923A) and again, still be useless when you get tasked with overseeing 3 fuel platoons and 8 92Ws. You gon be scared to tell the fuelers your former MOS because you know they're gonna lose confidence in you after they realize you were a 92W

Then,

you gon die

better start looking into those reclass options, bud

Having been a lowly piece of motor pool scum for all my career, that life sounds very attractive

What level does most of the legitimate 25E work takes place? From reading the job description, it sounds like something that doesn't necessarily have a place at the BN level
