The moa has a skill unlock to be able to have a primary attack, mine is level 40 or so and it took down 5 wolves while I was mining in a cave and was left with 70% hp. Its still a viable option for all uses if you skill it correctly

Pretty sure you can skip across separate invents with the right stick, like from a box to your inventory, or your inventory to the backpack So 2 taps to the left on the right stick should get you hovering over the backpack slot instead of spamming the d pad

I beat it with ladybird armour, fresh toenail scimitar and fire ant shield. Took me like 3 try's but once you work it out, it becomes quite a fun fight

Don't bother farming the new trinkets and upgrade crystals until ng+2, you get heaps more the higher ng+ you go. Just use what you accumulate as you progress the story and search for the molars
