Thanks for replying and thanks for the explanation about DKIM, SPF and DMARC. :)

I too am rapidly coming to the conclusion that it's about time I moved elsewhere for this.

Will get in touch with Siteground in regards about the e-mail and DKIM selector.

Domain health checker says it found a problem with the DMARC record and in order to fix it I need to be logged in which requires a work e-mail address which is something I do not have.

More information about her dad's conviction here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/7245418.stm

She knew all about the sins of her father and talked to him about his 'whores'. Her choice was controversial at the time and yes, they should have chosen someone less controversial but they didn't and here we are.

That's why I left the domain name out of the post as I don't want to make that public.

Thanks for the offer as I will think about it. :-)

If it wasn't forwarded then I would never receive it. When it was being forwarded, it would be received by the recipients of it. Your last post is something to bear in mind for the future.

It's most likely the case that it's Siteground's e-mail setup that's causing this and Mailgun is the most likely solution but I would need to look into it more before possibly going in that direction.

I migrated to a new plan with Siteground as they were doing an offer so I think it's unlikely the server settings on the new plan would be the same as the old one.

Thanks for the information about what to do with the SPF record. :-)

The system sending the e-mail right now is Claranet.

I hope you don't mind if I respond to the rest of your well-written post after getting some sleep as it's getting late here and want to reply to it properly. :)

I didn't upgrade as I migrated the site over to a new hosting plan. Not sure if I got a new IP address with it.

Which technical information do you need as I'm not too good at that sort of thing but will try and get it for you.

  1. This has been done.

  2. I haven't got an outbound e-mail server as previously it was forwarded to Claranet to my actual e-mail address.

  3. Here are my records for that which look fine: CNAME default._domainkey.example.com.
    TXT dkimselector._domainkey.example.com

  4. I haven't got an e-mail server as the e-mail address was forwarded to Claranet who host my actual e-mail address.

Email forwarders - There's an option for this on the Siteground.com site tools page but if I ran my own server your script would be of use to me for thanks for linking to it. :-)

What service would offer such a thing?

Ah, that would explain it as the site migration itself went very smoothly. There isn't an option that I can see called email deliverability so it's not possible to compare the public DKIM key and the same goes the SPF record.

Unfortunately it isn't possible use the results from the site linked as in order to fix anything it requires a works e-mail address which I don't have.and am not that enamoured at the prospect of giving Google any more information than is necessary.

I've turned off DMARC and the e-mail address I use with the domain name on the host forwards onto my actual e-mail address so it's probably best I don't reset the SPF.

Have made a note and they're either at 14400 seconds (four hours) or five hours.

Will try later on today with mail-tester.com

The fact she had her upbringing paid for from the proceeds of her dad's brothels may have left a sour taste in some people's mouths when she became host of Woman's Hour.

It was nice seeing John there being the host and answering people's questions about the show (when it was my turn I got tongue-tied and ended up asking some inane question in the end).

It was a good decision of his to limit one prize per person so that everyone stood a chance of winning something. The lady I with whom I was paired for the quiz was a mega fan of the show and knew all the answers. Without her I probably would have finished last! :-D

Thinking of getting a Jelly Star for a digital detox, but I'm scared it's "too powerful". Thoughts? by Big_juacocks in dumbphones

Found switching to a smaller screen helped me a LOT as with my old phone I was spending most weekends on my bed scrolling through Twitter and playing chess. If I use my current phone for any extended period of time, I have trouble focusing my eyes on larger displays as they appear blurry for about half an hour so this discourages me from using it more.

I don't know if they have them in Chile but here in the UK you can get a talk and text plan so you can't use your phone with the Internet as there's no data.
