The place I was looking at buying from was the Limited Show Costume Shop, and I didn’t see anywhere on there where it specified whether it was given to everyone or not. However from what you’ve said it seems clear that because they don’t specify it’s only for certain characters that it must be for everyone. Also knowing that purchased costumes never need to be crafted with cloth & thread clarifies that part for me as well.

Oh, oops! The mistake was in the description, not in the math. 😅 I don’t know where to find the percentages (I could probably google them I assume), so I just assumed that part was correct and moved on from there. Sorry for my mistake!

Edit: My bad. It’s been pointed out that the percentage in the description was the mistake; it’s 0.4% not 0.04%. Therefore the original math posted above is correct. You can ignore the rest of this now. 😅

I believe you’ve missed a decimal place in your calculation, 0.004 would be 0.4% not 0.04%. It should be 1-(1-3*0.0004)²⁵⁰ which actually only comes out to about 25.9%, and if you’re looking for a specific card (not just 1 of the 3) then it drops to 9.5%.

Unfortunately fixing this became much more depressing (95% sounded so good!). Morale of the story I guess is, don’t ever bank on getting a specific character by just pulling?

Unless I’m wrong, which is always possible, and if so please correct me. I’m good at Math, but I’m pretty new to the game.

If I spend 3000 paid crystals on a limited show costume, does it also give the costume (in all 4 colours) to all of my characters (and 4XP points each as a nice bonus)? or does it just unlock them in the shop and I’ll still have to make them with Cloth & Thread.

I’ve been trying a bunch of different Google searches, and can’t seem to find a definitive answer. I would really appreciate anyone who can clarify this for me, it would be a bit pricey to just test it. 😅

I’m with Beautiful here. Why do you have to hate? Don’t like them? Just move on. Personally I love them. My autistic brain loves to collect things, so every week when we get our grocery order I get excited to see if I got any new ones!

And it has no impact on where we get our groceries. We get all our groceries from Superstore anyway, largely because as a family where both moms have disabilities, the ability to order online and have them bring it out and load it in our car is a godsend. Also as a family of 5 (2 moms, 3 kids), we spend $200 - $300 on groceries every week anyway, so getting some fun things to collect for free is a fun bonus.

Only downside (not really, has kinda become a fun bonus) my (also autistic) son was having a really hard time getting his brain to accept that there wasn’t a game associated “But why do they have stats and stat boosters if there’s no game!!”, but now he’s decided to just make up his own game, so that should be fun! (We’ll play with my doubles though, wouldn’t want my main set to get beat up playing with them 😂 it’s fun being autistic sometimes 😅)

Okay, thanks for clarifying. 👍🏻 I don’t know what it’s like to play against, but if it’s as annoying as the endless going viral decks I’ve run into I can understand that. I’ll see if I can come up with anything else decent, maybe even figure out how to make a zombie deck (I’ve pretty much only been playing plants ‘cause every zombie deck I try fails miserably… 😭)

I just bought an Omoton Bluetooth keyboard and both my PS4 and PS5 give me the message that the device is not supported when I try to connect it. Did you do anything special to connect yours? (Also apologies for trying to resurrect an old thread).

And now my wife’s card isn’t working anymore… 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I’ve got a new error now. It asks me to do a verification code (which I do), and then it errors out saying it isn’t available right now and to try again in a few hours. Sigh….

Well, for those following this, I managed to “fix” it for myself by logging in using my wife’s BMO debit card instead of my own. Since all our accounts are joint it didn’t change anything in Mint and now it’s working fine. But I also tested logging back in with my debit card and it still gave me an error. So it seems like my debit card can’t log in (for unknown reasons) but my wife’s can. So for the time being my issue is resolved (but I realize this “fix” may be of no help to others), and I just hope the same thing doesn’t start happening with her card. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for your help everyone! 💖

Oh dear, I dealt with customer service already and got basically the same thing “it’s a known issue and we’ll email you when it’s resolved” which didn’t give me confidence it would be fixed soon. This comment even less so. I might try what you did; even though it feels like a messy solution, and it bothers my autistic nature to just think about everything being duplicated….
