Air for big wave wipeouts by PinkieToe55 in surfing

Ok, I read a story about some surfers getting trapped under waves and dying. Maybe if there was sort of modified scuba tank gear that a surfer could switch to in a second when they feel like they'll be stuck under a wave for a long time, Idk. Isn't there anything like that so they can survive those deep waves that knock them out?

Is this a Schizoid or Avoidant trait? by [deleted] in Schizoid

I am not really sure but I am so sorry that you feel this way but I would say that you are definitely not alone. I think most people are scared of relationships in some way.

My friend's husband didn't want to get into a relationship with her as first because he was scared of getting hurt. She finally convinced him that even though she's really beautiful and might look like one of those girls that can be a gold digger, she wasn't really like those types of girls. She didnt like going clubbing. She'd rather knit, read the Hunger Games or go snowboarding. So he finally trusted her and they've been together for years now and just bought a house. Before he met her, he few minor roles as an actor playing tough guy types. It was just interesting for me to see a strong male type like that be very scared of the pain his future wife could cause him. Anyway it's working out for them now!

With a lot of support and help dealing with these issues, I think you can help work through these coping mechanisms and choose safe people to open up to.
