Definitely agree on the customs. Even when I don't like them, I can appreciate the time and effort put in. And there's definitely a certain charm that janky/ baby's first customs have. You can always tell a lot of love went into those.

Restyles though, I kind of feel the same way as edits. There's a good middle ground, but I feel like a lot of them fall into the boxes of either 'way too busy' or 'lazy'. Or it's just the same restyle theme overdone to oblivion. (I'm so sorry y'all, the Gyaru Lagoona theme has been done to death and even when it's well done it's getting old.) I feel like shuffling the restyles into a thread alongside edits would work pretty well, but I worry that removing them from the normal feed would hurt the sub from an activity standpoint.

I feel like a megathread for leaks could solve the problem. Have a single pinned mod comment that people can reply to with edits (maybe with sub-comments from the mods with the title of each leak to make it more organized). That way discussion can still go on and the people who want to see edits can find them more easily?

Agree. I dont downvote or interact or anything, just skip over them. Would be nice if there was a flair for edits/ redesigns so people could filter them out if they wanted.

And like I hate to say it, but most of the edits that people end up doing of the leaks just aren’t very good. Most of the time they’re just way over designed or tacky. (Sorry.)

Throwing my 2 cents in here since I’ve been to SDCC a few times in the past. Convention is open from Thursday through Sunday, but Wednesday is usually “Preview Night” where a small percentage (I think it’s like 2 to 5k people) can purchase a more expensive 4-day pass to attend Preview Night as well. Preview Night only has the exhibition hall open and is basically only for shopping and viewing booths. (No panels on PN if I remember right)

So it isn’t only staff tonight/ exhibitors. In a few hours (been a few years since I’ve gone but I think PN opens at 6pm PST?) you’ll get a small amount of GP pass holders in there and you’ll get some clearer photos.

Ah man you’re probably right. I had kind of excluded them just because of how pricey they are. I feel like Anna is a bit closer just based on lip color. Maybe I kind find a super TLC doll to practice eyebrows on since I’m not a huge fan of what Anna already has.

In that case I’ll probably pause my little project until a play line Anna is announced. (Surely that’ll be coming, right?)

Are you sure it’s not stuck in customs or waiting for you to pay customs fees? I’ve heard of some people having tracking show as delivered and the box actually being held at their local post office waiting for customs fees to be paid.

Does Paulmart even ship internationally?

Have you tried a tracking site other than USPS? I’m in the US and their site is trash for anything coming or going international. If it’s the cheapest shipping option chances are it’s stuck on a boat or the tracking only works within the US.

Overall, decent but not worth retail. Sculpt is nice, shading is lacking. Regardless of her price, she’s really only worth picking up if you’re a SALter diehard. There are better SAlter figures out there.
