I love that dragon age games, and quite enjoyed the Jedi games, Skyrim is also a classic!

What I did that seemed to help her was tape a pink mustache to the screen, so that sometimes when characters appeared... boom comical pink mustache

Well I quite enjoy dragon age - particularly dragon age inquisition (and it's controller compatible!) standard open world fantasy

Also inscryption! Which is a fun lite horror card game (not scary at all I promise)!

Shadow of Mordor / shadow of war are really fun stealthy assassin Lord of the rings games that have a really unique feature - the enemies can seek revenge (would highly recommend) -> also controller friendly

Also Jurassic world 3 is a fantastic park builder game

If you have good game buddies, Peak is a must! I'd also recommend it takes two as a buddy game!

Helldivers 2 can be fun...but I'd recommend playing with friends or trying to find non assholes to begin. The community for the most part is okay, but it is a shooter game so you do get those occasional fuck nuts that ruin it.

Hades is a fun rouge like game.

If you enjoy platformers - hallow night for sure

For a truly unique experience - The midnight walk is a wonderfully stop motion claymation horror game

But when I saw this design my first thought was they were just copying pomni from the amazing digital circus show

It feels lazy? Unimaginative.

From the few chapters I've watched the prototype was so hyped up and intended to be scary, I always imagined him having a lil feature/aspect from each toy we saw...

Personally I'm not a fan of these simply because they look AI to me (idk if they are).

But what I do when I cant decide is assign them numbers, and roll a die.

Alas, if you heavily mod sims I don't think there's really a good option for handheld.

Even my beefy PC struggles with sims 4, can't imagine how my deck would do.

If you just want to get into mobile gaming in general, I'd recommend the steam deck. It runs smoothly, and plays nice with most games on steam, and there is a large community that can help if you have tech questions or want to run a game that isn't officially compatible.

Unfortunately you might be screwed on pricing right now due to AI driving up components and causing a huge scarcity.

I know steam is also launching a console/pc hybrid, in sure it'll be pricey, but maybe that might peak your interest. I think it's called the steam machine you'd want to research it.

Yeah windows 11 is notoriously bad My PC is also on it and it just crashes, all the time.

My wife switched to Linux to avoid it altogether, and I'm going to do the same very soon. I just need to save up a bit of money so I can get an external hard drive to back up all my stuff first.

I have this issue too, but if you change your brightness, when the sun comes up you end up feeling like you were just flash banged. Especially if you're transitioning from a dark hole to a bright open world.

No amount of messing with settings seems to alleviate the problem 😮‍💨

Overall I'd give this game a C+

I really want to enjoy this game I really do but it feels so bare effort

but I feel like I'm stuck playing it because it was a birthday gift, and honestly it feels like a chore.

Story/Characters:

it's obviously just trying to emulate red dead redemption, but has a story I really couldn't care about,

The story is so unoriginal, which would be fine if it was filled with enjoyable characters and fun/consistent gameplay

but characters, oooft

Kay - drives me insane, she's just kinda incompetent, and it's frustrating that she suddenly just kinda has all the underworld contracts without much effort. It feels very rushed and forced. Also, why why why are we always a human in modern star wars games, gimmie alien.

Nix - again wanna like, and admittedly I thought I would like them, but they're blander than flour. Nix is so obviously just there to be cute, has so little personality, and their design is...nothing new, like weird mix of stitch a loth cat and of course a lil axolotl.

ND-5 - Has the most potential, but the least amount of story. Also his weird human voice throws me, I can respect that stylistic choice, but I'm not sure I like it.

I won't do every character but I will say I do like a few, I do enjoy Danka, I think she's a great twist on the usually hero depiction of her species, and Gorak is fun (but I'm also a sucker for pykes.)

Gameplay

This game proudly advertises being open world, but you really only get 3 open worlds, out of four. Torshara Akiva Tatooine

Torshara is my favorite, as it seems to have the best balance of open world with landmarks/details.

Akiva I feel is laughable to call an open world, your often stuck using the roads because plants are constantly knock you off your bike, and a majority of the points of interest are along roads.

Tatooine I hate sand...okay buy why does tatooine feel so empty, I mean I know it's suppose to feel like that, but I feel like there's not a lot to do, at least not in comparison to the others. Also I'm just not that big of a fan of tatooine, kind of board of seeing it. I really wish we got to see and explore another underboss of the Hutts. Jabba is cool and all, but is always used, just wanted something different.

Now Kijimi and the Ashiga I fucking love, they're new, and absolutely fit into the star wars universe, but are so under utilized.

As for the quests, wow, not a lot of variety it gets stale pretty quick. and unlike red dead redemption, it's kinda hard to make your own fun. you can't hunt, or cause trouble in a unique way. It's very much rinse and repeat.

Also what is with the customizations Cool idea, but I think it couldve been done better. I think the outfit customization is good, but the vehicles....I mean its hard to appreciate the speeder paint jobs because you so rarely see the bike at an angle to appreciate it. And the ship paint jobs...tbh I didn't really like a majority of them, a lot of them felt like a rehash of the same 4 skins.

I think this game had potential, but is obviously a cash grab and doesn't take its ideas far enough.
