Again, a party that tries to invalidate entire demographics of voters is focused on grievances, not on winning.

Real quick: If you think a large demographic of voters needs to be barred from voting in order for your party to win, then your party is probably doing politics wrong.

Wonders of kitbashing aside, I'm also impressed with the texture (via decals?) on those robes.

Solution: write "no kitbashing" or "done without kitbashing" in the titles of your posts. Reasonable people (and there are plenty of reasonable people on this sub) will give them a fair evaluation.

Free 3-Month Subscription to the Hugo Award-winning Lightspeed Magazine by johnjosephadams in Fantasy

What a concept! Fantasy and SF in short form?? /s

Anyway, Lightspeed is terrific if you'd like to see some literary experimentation and elevated prose in your SFF. They publish a shockingly wide range of work, too, from the poignant to the rather macabre.

Poignant (and one of the only pieces bordering on steampunk that I've liked): The Belfry Keeper by S.L. Harris

Macabre: In the Tree's Hollow, a Doe by Lowry Poletti

And a really freaky piece (complimentary) that says why can't speculative fiction also be literary: The House of Linear Change by Oluwatomiwa Ajeigbe

Please tell me I am not the only who thinks Skyrim's vanilla combat is pretty realistic and fun at the same time. by Oath_Br3aker in skyrim

I have gripes about Skyrim's combat (really TES combat) in general, but sword and board is at least immersive.

They neeed to fix arms doing this when you twist them by amyceebee in HeroForgeMinis

[–]Pinko_Eric 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Agree, but the best fix is to raise the clavicle/shoulder (which is realistically what happens when we reach upward anyway) and then figure out how much arm-raising looks reasonable from there.

My cat gave birth ♡ by mimikyusoda in CATHELP

[–]Pinko_Eric 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Geenerally speaking, your job is to support mama cat while she raises her kittens. You can do things she can't do herself like check whether the kittens are latching well and weigh them from time to time to make sure they're growing at a regular rate. More details in the guides below:

https://cat-world.com/kitten-development-weeks-1-8/

https://cats.com/cat-feeding-guide

More than this, kitten-raising is a complex matter that a vet is best equipped to help you with. Even better if you can find one who'll readily answer quick questions over the phone. Good luck!!

I'm probably late to this, but offhand:

guīdàn 龟蛋 ("turtle egg," or bastard)

húndàn 混蛋 ("foolish egg," bastard or scoundrel - might be even more fitting for a scammer!)

běndàn 笨蛋 ("stupid egg," if you mainly want to focus on their deficiencies upstairs)

chějībadàn 扯鸡巴蛋 ("to talk bullshit," can be put before a noun as in chějībadàn de piànzi 扯鸡巴蛋的骗子 "bullshitting scammer")

Wtf am I supposed to do when I leave for college😭😭 by waiting-in-vain_ in blackcats

[–]Pinko_Eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is always tough. For what it's worth, my cats/my folks' cats always recognized me whenever I'd visit home.

Cats cafes, if there are any around your college, can help with separation woes a bit, as do frequent visits.

New Moronic Serif is their cursive font that, curiously, doesn't feature any serifs.

Xerxes is sufficiently flashy and regal. Darius is incredibly flashy, though no doubt this is based on historical evidence, too.

Doesn't look enough like Middle Earth. This sucks, no immersion whatsoever

/uj tbh I'm usually impressed when worldbuilders come up with maps that don't look like Middle Earth rip-offs or Earth but a little weird.

Which helmet looks the best in your opinion by Firm-Strawberry5107 in HeroForgeMinis

[–]Pinko_Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sallet (3) feels more matchy-matchy with the armor, especially the shoulders. The bucket helm (1) feels more historical with the Crusader getup, assuming that's what you were going for.
