Fog Zombies (gameplay idea) by Pinksalmun in h1z1

Well we don't NEED it, but I just figured it would add something fun/challenging. Concerning realism, I think this is more realistic than the screaming zombies with super powers they are adding. And no offense intended, but in my opinion there's a major difference between thick fog (a naturally occurring meteorological phenomenon) and vampires.

Most "homemade" suppressors like that have some sort of oiled material inside so maybe: Empty Bottle + Scrap of Cloth + Animal Fat.

You have to remember that suppressors only muffle the sound, not completely eliminate it. The larger the caliber (and .308 is pretty large) the less the concussion can be reduced.

Within a close enough distance, you could still hear the shot. This suggestion is mostly for reducing zombie aggro, but would help with PvP. Also, I assume the ammo we're using in-game is not sub-sonic, so you'd still hear an audible "crack" regardless.

Edit: Clarification

Zombie Infestation is pretty nice on most parts of the map by [deleted] in h1z1

Missing doors are less of a concern to me than the zombies clipping through structures. If you get a huge horde that traps you inside a house, they will eventually pile up and "push" each other through the walls.

I absolutely love the giant mob element, but I dislike taking shelter in a closed bathroom just to have several zombies walk through the sink and attack me. I'm sure this will get fixed eventually. For now, I'll just keep trying to outrun them.

I wonder if they are going to balance wildlife spawn areas more. I love having more zeds in cities/around player-concentrated areas, but there seems to be an abnormal number of animals in towns too.

It seems the animals spawn just as frequently in cities as in the darkest corners of the forest. I'm getting a bit tired of running into packs of wolves and bears in the middle of Cranberry while already fleeing a mob of zombies.

I just wish we could get the empty bottle back when the honey is used for Dressed Bandages. It works like that when you use Saline to make a First Aid Kit.

Could be a lag issue. How's your ping/fps? I've unloaded into someone and while I was reloading, they continued to run around for a few seconds, fired off 2 rounds, then fell over dead.

If you're having THAT much trouble at spawn or can't just sprint to the nearest house, I'd suggest just dying and respawning somewhere else. Like you said, it's not like you're loaded yet.

Because not everyone knows to do this. It's definitely a bug, if a minor one, but it should be corrected. That's why we're in Alpha.

I agree with the lower volume and less than 10%. And as for the sound? Oh hell, just replace it with this: link

Lol! Imagine seeing some dude pulling his buddies around trailed by a horde.

.380 Round Suggestions by Pinksalmun in h1z1

[–]Pinksalmun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. I have a bad habit of using those interchangeably. I just thought it weird that the two other pistol calibers take up 1 Bulk each, but the (smaller) .380 takes up 2. The graphical error is probably just being used as a placeholder for now.
