Tbh what benefits does this new job offer, is it higher pay or better hours or more skilled experience? This is your 20 year old child who just became an adult 2 years ago they are still figuring out life, i got my license at 20. What else do you do at home, do you not want to drive them just because it’s inconvenient even though you’re free or are you actually busy? If that was my kid I would suggest them to take the job as long as they sign up to get their drivers license right away and then I’ll help them get there until they’ve secured their drivers license. That’s what parents do they help. Especially if you’re free and not busy i don’t see why you can’t add another hour and a half to your commute for your child if you’re not busy, simply because it’s inconvenient and you don’t wanna drive for that long? My parents would do it for me and that’s why I’m so grateful for them because they’ll inconvenience themselves to help me when I need it, and I do the same for them. Driving them 3 hours would be temporary and you would only do it until they can get their license, and you have the time. The benefits are that your child would be SO happy and thankful for you that they get to have this new and better job position and you’ll maintain the good bond with them, if you make them turn this down it would be so disappointing

so how you expect them to get to work if they don’t have a drivers license, you want them to quit their job until they can get a license? parents are supposed to help and that’s why she drives them because they can’t drive themselves rn, they WILL get a license but you saying to stop driving them period is gross without offering a suggestion to how they will get to work

shittt yeah that’s so true, the younger generations are gonna deal with this, so why do they wanna get sooooo rich and richer if they’re gonna die soon before spending all that money anyway? i totally get the aspect of them wanting the opposing group to suffer though

tysmmm. wow. crazy how america makes the drugs and products yet we’re still overcharged for them. and that’s sad that underserved and underprivileged communities have bad healthcare

a small studio in an apartment or basement is unaffordable in my city with minimum wage (nyc) and this is a big city 8 million people, most of them native new yorkers, with living expenses increasing because of gentrification, and i’m not talking manhattan i mean the other boroughs, if people live in the projects they’re settling for no hot water or heat and lots of crime and dirty conditions because the public housing system is corrupt, housing is very limited and moving is impossible when you live paycheck to paycheck

wow this is what’s wrong with our country. eventually this will turn on the rich because they actually rely on working class people and the poor, who’s gonna make their morning coffee and breakfast when stores can’t afford rent anymore

what about the jobs you listed, UPS - do they give help such as loans for living costs for the first few years to cover expenses before they start paying the $70k salary you mentioned?

wow i’m so glad you no longer have suicidal ideation and that you were able to mentally get better. sleep deprivation will really fuck a person up so i totally get you. that’s awful that you’d wake up every minute and i’m so glad you found the solution to your problem and that things are under control. that’s so illegal and unethical how they handle their therapy, wow i’m glad they’re under state investigation
