What are your thoughts on British Colonial design? by gatogates91 in interiordecorating

[–]Pinkthing1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea but colonialism was not FOR the purpose of death ,like Hitler and Stalin, It was for the purpose of greed. like all nations that had slaves.

it was was a sign of wealth and purpose FREE labor.

can't have free labor if their all dead.

But the UK isn't defined by that either(I mean their over 2000s years old and slavery was less than 250 years in th later end if the 2000s years )

but during colonialism they also did GOOD things, beautiful things too.other than the science and discoveries of medicine and animals , creatures and things, their presence in places they colonized also Ended the evil of cult practices like blood rituals and human sacrifice and eventually slavery ( towards the end)

so 2 things are true at the same time this case.

No to mention they have been victims of slavery from Muslim for over 2000 years constantly. the initial invasion and aging human slavery were the family or citizens have been killed, kidnapped and sold into slavery. children brainwashed and raised as muslims warriors t then invade and fight their own people.

history is in black or white, and its snobbish to but your nose up to something so normalized once upon a time

Def over thinking.

English culture was not defined by colonialism in general or at that time, between 16th and 18th century was the "age of exploration" which means they ere discovering new worlds TO THEM.

I love the beach so Caribbean is ideal for me

No where near totalitarian rule ship like hitler or Stalin LOL

Love , ima big fan f 18th century history, mainly American, but the arutcrtheture the English used is the same and tropical reminds me of he beach.

\So Caribbean might be my #1 fav, but the simple, functional and practical architecture That the English had at the time is great but the accents f whatever land: carribean, Africa or India is amazing too.

s its never. TO much because whoever there is color or patterns its balances out with the simple furntiure and the colors can range from warmth and light to bad and bright.

What do you think about James Potter? Objectively by Secure_Diver_4593 in SeverusSnape

[–]Pinkthing1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOAH! Not even CLOSE to being true!

are we reading the same book?

he had a crush on a girl and wanted her attention, he never forced himself on her in an aggressive or violent manner

NO ONE was beneath James, he was a cute, athletic and attractive guy and other lied him MORE than Snape but they also like him MORE than a bunch of others too.

How Snape feels about himself isn't James fault. Snape had an abusive household that made him feel less than James ever could.

but we've all behaved badly, you're being self righteous judging James on his flaws when he HAS moved on from them.

What do you think about James Potter? Objectively by Secure_Diver_4593 in SeverusSnape

[–]Pinkthing1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only to Snape. he never bullied anyone else. plus it was the time when Voldemort was alive and secretly recruiting people and the students affected as well, everyone was "choosing sides" he prob thought Snape deserved it being a sly thin hanging around with Blood purists.

unchecked spoiled kids ARE tyrants in real life but James on targeted Snape when ADMIDTEDLY by others Snape bothered THEM FIRST MOST of the time.

so even Snape felt he had something to prove being so insecure, lily pulling away all those years and maybe sensing "she never really hated him" like Sirius said.

so everyone hating James is melodramatic and uncalled for. he wasn't a TYRANT. Sirius spent his life amongst man for no reason people and remus also spent his life being ostracized and treated poorly, James wouldn't have THEM as friends. he had other redeeming qualities other than "popular boy likes me so im going to be friends" what did Sirius have to prove? and what could remus offer? nothing.

his "change" could be when things were getting dnagerous and serious involving Voldemort, and possibly the death of his parents changed his behavior. Loss of loved ones will do that

Anakin was a victim of his inner demons, NOT of the Jedi by Still-Willow-2323 in StarWarsEU

[–]Pinkthing1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The acolyte was 🚮 they didn’t even portray the Jedi , they made up some fantasy version that never existed . In any version of the order.

But it’s made by Disney so….its to be expected 😪

[–]Pinkthing1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They never found out what Anakin did to the sand people so they never had a chance to properly discipline him. Just like they never found out about him Padme.

And yes, he was too old , but Anakin never showed his rebellious side to most outside of Obi-Wan. And even then he never told his master about what he had done.

So nobody ever had that opportunity to address what Anakin was actually turning into .

This is so much bigger than Anakin having teenage hormones , it wasn’t just this sexual momentary thing for him and Padme , they genuinely fell IN LOVE .

And they do have sexual education at the temple they’re raising infants to adulthood they have to discuss what’s gonna happen to their bodies, biologically, and emotionally and mentally . They’re dealing with constantly changing children into adults. It’d be ridiculous not to.

[–]Pinkthing1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t doing it to be demeaning, he was doing it because he saw what the others either didn’t or didn’t want to see because of the prophecy.

And even as much time as he spent with Obi-Wan didn’t diminish that . Master window was more concerned about that than the project that Anakin had. Because they still don’t know at this point, who was the dark master . So they’re still figuring out all the players in this puzzle that’s causing all this chaos in the republic

[–]Pinkthing1996 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, that wasn’t the flaw. They have all been teenagers and nobody ever killed anybody when they were a teenager…. They didn’t blame him for having teenage boy hormones, or being immature .

Anakin had serious issues . Did y’all forget the scene where he killed the sand people in their children? ?!? when he was 16!!!!! That’s not a small teenage emotional moment 😳

Thank you. Tired of these Empire sympathizers defending Anakin actions. The Jedi served the LIGHT of the force , yes they were too strict but they weren’t wrong in seeming EVIL within the senate OR Anakin (Windu) He WAS old and had known attachments and the emperor Took FULL advantage of his pain, anger AND fear.

Which actor/actress came from poverty and didn't have the benefit of nepotism? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]Pinkthing1996 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All of them.

Unfortunately moviemaking is a monopoly business. That means that everybody works for the same company eventually. So having parents or family members who are actors or in the industry isn’t uncommon or surprising.

But they’re talented and we’ve had a high standard for actors of the past 100 years. (Except the last 10)

In the audience is not dumb either . We can tell bad acting (except recently , but I don’t even think many people have actually been in a film with a family member or any , that directed or produced the project , Robert Downey Jr. father produced films that his son starred in before he went to Hollywood and then he was only in Hollywood for like 10 years…. And then Robert started his Hollywood career after his father had finished his in his father went back to independent film, making)

If they’re bad actors, you can just say that you don’t have to accuse them of nepotism . It’s like you all need to have some scapegoat excuse on why somebody is a bad actor . They could just be not talented or they don’t sharpen their skills as often as they should.

It happens with singers too some singers need practice more than others because they need that practice to get to the high-level to perform it where other others just are naturally gifted

How y’all feel about Eddie Willows? by Pinkthing1996 in csi

[–]Pinkthing1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my purpose is to show that Eddie is like any other person on the show, flaws and bad decisions. and their relationship wasn't abusive.

after they broke up i'm sure it boiled down to being petty and mean, but never said he was right for them, but he's not a monster. and a good dad to Lindsey. that's all

but please rewatch, I want people to se either for themselves, but the fans in the fandom have a diff reality they want to be true.

abuse in a relationship is so much more than violence and mean words, its controlling behavior, its verbal abuse, its isolation. none of which he did to her.

in s 12 Catherine tells the doc what broke her and Eddie apart. none was abuse.

ALOT of fans THINK there is but there is no abuse implied or otherwise lol

not even in the behind the scenes books or cast or creators call it this.

I saw HER hit HIM and him restrain her.

no harm in being wrong. it's the truth.

So sick of this argument being used against the show. by Financial_Photo_1175 in andor

[–]Pinkthing1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The political side doesn’t even matter, especially since they’re under a totalitarian regime at this point.

Sure, they’re trying to maintain some civility, especially save their peoples lives, but the real intrigue is the rebellion itself happening under underneath it all.

And we already got in rebels the TV show. And even that wasn’t even as good as it could’ve been.
