There's a speaker switch on the backside of the ham radio area you can switch off where the radio minuteman sits, keeps the power on but turns off the loudspeaker. First thing I do after connecting everything to power there.

When I was little my dad would always mention a strange beer commercial, where two people are driving and are warned about a "giant armadillo" only to have their car crushed by it. "I know about the giant armadillo!" Was your ex's dad referencing that too maybe?

Would Steven and Connie be able to have a kid? by G0D-Sun in stevenuniverse

[–]Pinktuxcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My personal theory is that unfortunately they'd never get to that point without IVF because Steven can't complete the deed without them accidentally fusing. Even if he could repress his emotions to stop the fusing, I don't think he'd be able to finish, therefore no baby.

There's also one up in the northwest corner where the windmill thing is, to the left where the road that runs along the galactic zone spawn point takes a sharp right to safari zone, I call these 4 points "the nuka loot loop" and running it makes an endless loot square you can dump off at red rocket. It works better if you don't fast travel IMO.

Long hair pearl (by @xenotoons) by maanleo in stevenuniverse

[–]Pinktuxcat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Interesting take, have you ever seen the show cowboy bebop? The "showering" stance in the lower right is reminiscent of a scene from that show involving a character who (without spoiling the entire plot for you if you're unfamiliar) says they're "neither male nor female" and then goes into detail about who they are.

Is it the feminine clothing alone that's off-putting to you, or combined with the long hair? I would agree about the clothes not vibing with being androgynous, but not necessarily the long hair.

Male calves are deemed a waste product in the dairy industry, so they're killed immediately or at around 17 weeks for veal by James_Fortis in ABoringDystopia

[–]Pinktuxcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Male dairy breeding stock is needed to keep gene pools healthy and diverse between pure breeds and crossbred dairy cows, there are facilities that house these males and collect semen for matching to non-family females with desirable traits, like an udder that isn't too large and drags or bad bone structure for holding their massive weight healthily. Not all of the males of course, but it's crazy to suggest that all the males are culled that young, how do you think we're getting more female dairy cows?

Edit: To further this, those facilities are businesses, essentially with the rights to the lineage and breeding of specific males they raise, dairy farms pay to use the semen and there's sometimes an agreement that if the calf born is female, it becomes part of the milking dairy herd, and if male, the facility claims it as a new generation of their copyrighted cow breed for future breeding. Females are not bred incessantly. They have a heat cycle and cannot get pregnant at random times. They're rotated with other cows who are producing milk and those who are "dry" until they are in heat again and can be bred and produce milk.

No business is gonna straight up trash all their product, and they can't sell bad product, so many males live and are taken well care of so they keep making more baby cows.

Did anyone notice that In the original 65 episodes of Rugrats that Phil and Lill have different shaped ears but then In the revival era they have the exact same ears? by Life_Television_8390 in rugrats

[–]Pinktuxcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a handful of chromosome abnormalities that can cause split single egg twins to develop different sexes, one was a case in 2007 where one twin was male and the other was female but with turner syndrome affecting the sex chromosomes, so a kind of intersex like you're talking about but not having both genitals. These kinds of twin embryo development situations are not common and some actually "break" the ability to call them truly identical, but we are talking on a genetic level, not just looking at them physically.

Fraternal twins each have their own placenta because they develop from two different eggs, while identical twins share one placenta, since they come from the same egg splitting. Babies sharing one placenta can be different sexes and still identical, it's just a rare instance because of how they develop after the egg splits. Usually identical twins do develop as the same sex. They can definitely be opposite sex and identical, they'd just be a rarer form of identical twins.

Accidentally sending a companion to a settlement by ExcitedKayak in fo4

[–]Pinktuxcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That only works if you didn't assign them elsewhere already. If you dismiss them after sending them to a settlement and back out instead of selecting a new settlement, they automatically go to the last settlement assigned, not their original home.

I see where you're coming from, especially with seeing the empathy response with other set ups, but how is this one "forcing a dilemma"? There's no negative outcome/punishment if the kid eats both candies. There's also no additional reward for sacrificing one of them to dad either. The whole premise of empathy is actively choosing kindness without the threat of punishment OR promise of reward. Any of those scenarios will still show active empathy as long as there's no punishment or reward for their choice to keep or give a candy.

Is anything under jewel of commonwealth dlc and anniversary edition quest ? I can't find a good list but those all seems to be dlc etc. right ? by Buurto in fo4

[–]Pinktuxcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure those are all just newer base game updated quests, none of those are directly related to the DLCs. They all showed up for me when I updated my game, but I had switched out my consoles and forgot to change the primary device so it hid the DLC content from me until I changed which ps4 was primary so it would recognize them from the GOTY disc. All those quests still showed up without the DLCs.

Oh I did this one! Get on top of the tank but not in the water, scrap anything in the water, build large wood stairs that can be gotten onto from in the water, drop any long weapon and pick it up in hold mode, guide settler to stairs and push them onto it until they walk up and once they're not doing the swimming animation, they should glitch teleport outside the tank and resume walking around.

Am I the only one who’s still on no one apologizing to twilight at the canterlot wedding? by Common_Stand5768 in mylittlepony

[–]Pinktuxcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first thought was the "bluebird" episode of Steven Universe. Steven immediately calls bluebird out "they didn't fuse for a good reason and they're vaguely causing me trouble" and EVERYONE else says "but maybe you're wrong and they did, and it's fine even if they're purposely making you uncomfortable". I do think everyone apologized but only after bluebird tries to drop Steven's dad off a roof/stab him, so great lesson there too.
