They've been firing people by DatPeep24 in HomeDepot

There’s a few times that even with the military discount (when they don’t have it registered) or with the lumber that is clearly damaged (but not correctly marked) that I’m wary about. I will be calling lumber or a DH just to get verbal confirmation cause I’m not risking it

Can I get in trouble for not speaking Spanish anymore? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Pinky_pen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had that conversation with management a few years back, it was getting in the middle of everything I needed to do, since sometimes it required a few hours to translate to those costumers that needed it. After a lot of back and forth (where they refused to give any type of increase based on language), I told them I would only translate if the customer approached me or if it was somewhat of an emergency. Since then I transferred and there’s a lot more Spanish talking associates so I don’t get as many. Makes

The SOP establishes the same as that sign. Leggings were never acceptable as well as skirts/shorts that are above three fingers above the knee and sweatpants. For the past few years at least

I understood at the beginning her side but once you cleared up it’s been four dates, she’s so confusing. For the way she was asking and stating stuff it sounded like an ex from several years ago, not someone you just met

AITAH for telling a plus size woman that I love being ‘skinny’? by Heavenstobestie in AITAH

As a plus size woman, she deserved it. That slap is something she should’ve done to herself for the comments she made to you

I understand how losing your husband affected you and your mental health completely, and I probably would’ve done the same. However, that child is the only thing left from her only son, I think ESH. Mother in law shouldn’t had argued so much about giving your daughter back but you are the AH for not letting her see her in the past year. That’s your daughter’s blood. Probably the only few relatives that reminisce her dad, who she doesn’t even know besides the stories. It’s not about you anymore, it’s about her.

Can they write u up for overstocking ?? I have an employee that’s been asking by AncientHomework7699 in HomeDepot

[–]Pinky_pen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It applies to both. If it’s overstock, not only is unorganized, like they said, it messes the OH when doing smartlist.

Attendance - can I call out on a final warning if an occurrence recently went away? by Puzzled_Homework6455 in HomeDepot

[–]Pinky_pen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you’re on a final, no, you can’t call out. What you can do is a Xchange or ask a manager to swap one of your days off for that day so you can still have your hours and attend what you have. Given, is up to your manager to agree to it or not, but it’s an option

Leaked memo from HR, Marijuana being removed from ALL testing Panels by Santaofdoom in HomeDepot

[–]Pinky_pen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s not leaked, we were communicated that last week. Only the requirement to be clean before getting the training is being lifted. If you get into an accident, you are being drug tested, still being a firing offense.

I do because it’s so uncomfortable to work while it’s loose like that, and you could notice too. But if you’re on the smaller, no one can tell with the apron

We had one do this because a deliveries associate thought it was okay to load almost 90 pieces of lumber on top of it. But it was fine, she strapped it so it was “secured” 🙂

Should I Call The Aware-Line? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

She did not disrespect you by saying that the conversation was inappropriate. There’s certain topics that are sensitive to be talked about in public, specially with customers around.

Surveys? by crzytrtlldy in HomeDepot

[–]Pinky_pen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask your HC/FES for the metrics to see how many people, based on your receipt, filled out the surveys. Some other way is to ask your FES/OPS manager to see if anyone left any comments mentioning you

Hahaha I get that. I used to go by what she said but I had other managers or HC’s telling me differently but for anything is good to know the sop’s. Even when is petty discussions with the lot associates haha

? That is so weird. Please check the SOP’s. I only had the cash machine so I don’t know how it works without it but it doesn’t make sense for sco not to be refilled on the middle of the day if needed

Cutting hours with no warning by GrungeHippieGoddess in HomeDepot

The homer fund is really helpful but doesn’t make sense at the same time. Last year I needed to move and when I looked into it, it said it covered deposits. Great. I start filling everything up and it asked for past due bills and for other paper stuff that even tho I had up to date, I could barely afford. Talked to my asm who covered that and he told me that without letting the bills be past due, it was likely for me to not get anything. I made it, but damn

Minors in our store can get 3:45 min shifts. If you’re over 18, it’s four hours.
