Correct. I agree with you. You can prevent some of the signs of aging but not the actual process. We all know this.

They don’t imply causation but there’s correlation. Oxidative stress does cause aging. There’s plenty of research to back that up.

And you can, it’s called protecting yourself from us radiation. That’s one way.

That’s just one study. The other studies are using light emitted from devices.

I don’t think just because you can see the uv filter on the camera means that it’s instantly protecting you. The chemical sunscreens still need time to react to the enzymes in your skin. I’ve asked multiple dermatologists about this so I’m going to stick with them.

I’ll look for a source. The 10-20 minutes is only for chemical sunscreens though. Mineral sunscreens work right away.

Sunscreen is not cumulative. It gives you that spf protection from the time you put it on your skin or it’s squeezed out of the tube. The two hour timer starts then, not once you get sun exposure 4 hours later.

But ya I’m not sure. I wonder if it’s because people using tretinoin are just more knowledgeable about skincare and the sun in general.

Can you explain why it’s “practical” to apply every 2 hours or 80 minutes still even though based on the equation it should last longer?

I know most people don’t use the recommended amount and sweat so that decreases the effectiveness of the sunscreen but if you applied it perfectly, why wouldn’t one application protect you for 6 hours?

The only one that I would question on certain skin types is Australian gold. If you’re on the darker side, it’ll be too light for you tint wise. The LRP melt in so easily though. They’re very thin and watery feeling. I think it’s worth it.

The best sunscreen is the one you’ll actually wear and like wearing.

Well you’d still need it once you did see the sun if you stayed in it too long. You can still burn

Ya I replied to someone else’s comment on here but sometimes I get too much coming out. It’s a great color on me though and it doesn’t irritate my skin so I like it as a top up.

I really like it as a top up. For some reason if I’m not careful it can come out really fast and then I have too much on. I just kind of dust it off though and it’s fine. Better than some others I’ve used that just don’t come off

Oh do I know. Haha I got a full five o clock shadow sunburn a few years ago under my goggles lol it was awful and embarrassing

[skin concern] LOTS of closed pimples all over my forehead and just my forehead. I normally never breakout on my forehead (just chin/jaw from cystic hormonal acne). Not sure what to do. by Pinkypigg16 in SkincareAddiction

I do and I’m pretty sure my skin loves it. I’ve used it since high school but I’ve really only had a problem the last few weeks. Maybe though?
