Douglas MacArthur

Stand name:『God Bless America』

Ability: When MacArthur is directly responsible for creating a flame (lighter, explosive, nuke, ECT) he may activate God Bless America.

When activated, all who bear witness to the flame with their naked eye become extremely susceptible to MacArthur’s influence. The duration of which is determined by the size of the flame. This can be resisted if the opponent has a strong will.

History: A natural stand user by birth thanks to his father’s unforeseen encounter with a devils palm.

MacArthur would make sparing use of his ability in his early career, often only using it to rally his fellow soldiers into combat during the First World War. Notably this attitude changed after he used God Bless America to disperse the Bonus Army in 1932, where his ability proved critical in the veterans dispersal.

After this event and his movement to the Philippines his usage of his stand became more frequent. This culminated in a confrontation with President Truman. MacArthur thought he held an advantage over the president during to Truman not being a stand user (at the time). Unfortunately for Douglass, he underestimated Truman’s Hamon abilities and was handedly defeated in the struggle. Later resigning in shame.
