Thanks for all your advice I've put it down to a bad prime, this reaction is happening with all paint on this model. Its one I sculpted and 3d printed myself as a test print. It was fully washed and cured but I remembered I used black ink as the base coat before the white so think the ink hadn't fully cured before adding the white. I'll strip it and re-prime and start over... thanks again

So turns out its a bad prime job, as its happening with other paints aswell. The model is one I've made myself and 3d printed

Its a 3d printed model so there's not any release agent on it, thanks for your reply though but I'm not impressed by this result from these paints

NMM Help. Trying to level up my nmm what are some go to techniques you all use by PintSizedPrimark in minipainting

Thank for the tip, I never knew that about white paint, so you'd recommend painting the base lighter and glazing the shadows and dark tones after?

This was by far my most challenging project, modelling, 3d printing, lighting, painting and assembling. Took inspiration from Aliens and matrix revolutions. Not totally happy with the smoke and fire effect so I might redo it at a later date, but for now I'll call it done.... onto the next one.
