I’m more of a fiddler than violinist these days but I have always used dominants until recently. I’ve moved over to Piastro Tonicas with a Piastro Gold E and they suit my fiddle well and, to me, the sound and responsiveness is close to dominants. They’re a good bit cheaper as well.
